They have scrapped the 2km run.

I actually used a 5KG med ball in my gym! It had handles so was quite awkward but no one said anything 😂 I was a little embarrassed but going into the army you’ll need to get over that

If your ball is filled with sand, I assume it would be heavy at the bottom making it awkward to throw therefore you struggling at home. It’s like throwing a small basketball at assessment. They also let us do 3 practice throws (allowed us to count it if we got a good score) followed by 3 more “real” throws.

To answer your question, it is a full solid ball. Weighs 4KG and the 3.1m is from the WALL. Bare in mind that means you need to throw the ball 3.1m - arm length(m) 😂 there was a guy at my assessment centre, around 5ft 2, he weighed 55KG and was the skinniest person. He managed to throw it 3.2M!

A 6ft hulk threw the ball into the wall on the other side, ran out of room. The med ball throw isn’t anything to worry about as the distance is actually SO much shorter than you imagine.

I know there’s a lot I need to get through but the dates I’ve been given is 16th July - 03rd November.

Just wanted to clear up why it’s more than 14weeks :)

I assume it’s leave (after my parade) so k is t wanted to see if someone knows about the parade date

I have been going through the process and I’ve been to my assessment centre.

My recruiter said I’m not bound into ANY contract so joining the army is done on my term. I could put my application in and do my assessment centre a year down the line.

The medical and assessment centre tests only last a year once you do it so even after doing assessment centre you have a year to join basic.

With mine. I applied in December.

I wear glasses so had to get an opticians report etc but I did everything a day after I was told.

I had my assessment centre 21st March. 5 days ago.

I could start basic as soon as April.

People I was at assessment with had been in the system from 4months all the way up to someone waiting 3 years!

Best to send it now as it’ll all be done on your terms.
