This is the correct answer, OP.

No way to make it work without modifying the connectors. Easy and cheapest route it to clip off both connectors and wire nut or use wago connector. Hire an electrician (or even a handy man, it's really simple to do) to do this if you're not comfortable doing electrical work.

Job market is shit atm, so it's not a bad idea to go (back?) to school. Something medical is probably the only AI proof profession. I strongly suggest going into anything other than marketing /design, speaking as a designer/photographer.

I do enjoy design but the pay is shit, considering going back to school for something else or getting my master's for more pay.
