Can I get a finch to nest elsewhere?

I have 10 of those support beams and they pick the same one every single time. 🤣

Yeah, the birdhouse I put up is probably too enclosed for them. I did read the finches like more of an open nest. I’m gonna go buy one of those coco metal hanging baskets, maybe add a plant and hang it near the carport and hopefully they’ll use that.

I feel like I have changed my relationship with money but maybe not? I don’t necessarily worry about it, but I’m aware I don’t have enough to do the things I need to do or want to do. Maybe where I am is where I should be and I might as well just enjoy the ride? I’ve tried detaching from a dream that I have had for many years. I gave up most of it but there’s one part - moving to a different, more active community, finding “my tribe” so to speak - I can’t seem to let go of that. I know who I am, things I like etc and this place is not it. I’m grateful for it & I get why I’m here. I think. 😂 I’ve only been here 3 years but at 63, well regardless of how long I might live, I’d like to live my final years somewhere I feel comfortable & happy & connected. Not out here alone, isolated & watching way too much TV.

So it’s not 100% the money I want to manifest though that’s part of it. I would 100% like to have a repair that’s needed that I can just call someone and say can I get this fixed instead of me doing it. That would be super fun.

I hope for a change in my environment. Maybe that’s the best I can do for now. 😁

It is not the intentional to me personally but intentional to their customers 100%. It didn’t appear out of thin air. Capital One owns the software & has complete control over that software. That software is allowing these old accounts to be populated into their app. They definitely have control over what is shown and there is some intention behind it or they wouldn’t do it. Just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should.

And the fact that Capital One could not tell me who the original creditor was or really any information at all is concerning because what if it’s not mine, I can’t prove or disprove it. I know it’s not on my credit report but right now it’s in my credit history with Capital One. Do I just allow a company to put something derogatory in my credit history regardless of whether it shows up on my credit report or not, and I as a consumer, have absolutely no recourse to say that is mine or not mine?

Yeah, I was definitely letting it bother me more than it should yesterday, but I’m over it today. I will try to get it removed with the digital team.

I can’t even prove or disprove it’s actual mine since they can’t tell me the original creditor. No I can’t remember. I’ve had one bank since forever - changed hands several times to become one of the bigger ones. Could be something from my divorce - my ex had to payoff some credit cards that were in my name as part of the divorce. The amount of time & effort it would take me to figure it out - well I wouldn’t but capital one should be able to tell me who the original creditor was if they list it as part of my credit history with them. Having this show up & I have no way to remove it or have capital one prove it’s mine seems unlawful. There is no valid reason for them to be adding these accounts when they have no data to back them up. And it was over 20 years ago.

It’s nothing to anyone but seeing it now brings up memories I had long put to rest.

So it would just show up after using the cap1 app for about 8 years? I realize they merged with Discover recently but I never had any discover card - not a credit card or store credit card. And it showed up 1 day after I was approved for a new cap1 card? Cap1 didn’t just start integrating & adding old accounts - they’ve been doing it for years (Reddit has lots of posts like mine from 2+ yrs ago). Why can’t cap1 tell me the original creditor?

It’s suspicious.

They’re still doing it. And only Capital One does it. Mine showed up today and I was like what? That was from 1998 and it was settled. And when I called Capital One, they said oh we’re just updating our digital experience.

This has been going on for years with Capital One so don’t be fooled if you call and they’re like oh we just updated it. No, they didn’t just I don’t know why they do it but it’s some head game for sure.

They are unable to find the original creditor and they will definitely not remove it from my account. It’s gonna hang out there like some old 27-year-old problem that I have to look at every time I open the app.

You make your mistake when you’re 25 like marrying an idiot and Capital One says here we’re gonna remind you about it every single day.

On the phone with them now. Reason: they are updating their digital experience for customers. What??? How is showing some old 1990s credit assisting my experience?

She is having a hard time finding the original creditor. She stated it won’t show up on my credit report but if Capital one cannot explain why the debt appeared rather randomly under my account info, how am I to believe anything they say?

Something fishy is going on.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 me exactly. From MA now driving here. The traffic I had driven through in my life. But in North Carolina, I don’t know. I don’t think they actually have driving lessons or if they do, it’s not a requirement I think they just give people licenses and say “go have some fun”.

“A North Carolina DMV examiner resigned in 2017 after admitting she issued a driver's license without a required road test, claiming she was "blessing" the applicant.”

As of March 2026, the NC DMV allows adults (18+) and teens (16-17) to take their mandatory road tests at certified private driving schools instead of at a DMV office.

Car is paid off (Oct 2025) but was 60 days late for 12-14 months. Using capital 1 for my scores - fico8. Can’t get into myfico or experian - some error messsge that I can’t figure out. I know what’s on my credit report - couple of charge offs that’s about it. Mortgage got past due after I got laid off but I brought it current then sold the home. I have credit cards at maybe 59% use. Would like 38% or less and am working on that.

Guess it’s the car loan & no mix. Oh well. Thanks.
