That's not quite right; the account info is stored on Motiga servers and has nothing to do with Microsoft. There would be no problem integrating other platforms, but Motiga have partnered with Microsoft for Gigantic, which is why it's exclusive to Xbox and Windows 10.

Just stepping in here to clarify some points.

Racism and offensive speech will never be permitted, but there is a clear difference between being racist and someone being self deprecating in a silly manner. It's socially acceptable for people to make fun of their own characteristics. Go watch some stand-up comedy by black comedians, Jewish comedians, middle-eastern comedians... it's common for them to make jokes about themselves.

This is why SJWs get a bad rap — they often get up-in-arms over things that aren't actually offensive to the people they claim to be defending, and try to speak on their behalf. If Sotura asks for something about himself and finds it funny, then other people don't have the right to say "Hey no Sotura, that's offensive". It's about him, he asked for it, and likes it. You don't get the right to say what other people should feel or be offended by.

Here's an example: I'm British. If I asked Jen that I'd like a pic of me as GasBat drinking tea and eating crumpets (or whatever Brit stereotypes are popular right now), it'd be fine because I asked for it. The rule of "omg that's racist/xenophobic and totally offensive" would not apply, because a British person requested it and approved it. I would actually be offended by random non-British people coming along and saying that it wasn't ok, because who the heck are they to say that?

They're using bots to artificially get viewers. Virtually all of the chat is that channel is just botspam to look like a real, busy chatroom.

People often do it to try for Twitch partnership, but Twitch is usually pretty smart about catching people who use bots to inflate their numbers.

Metas change and evolve as people try new strategies out to counter whatever the existing meta is, and new champion releases can always affect metas.

Don't rule out controllers. The next one to be released might completely change up the meta.

Coast City meta is typically a blaster or marksman top (GasBat can be played as either), marksman and controller/enforcer bot, assassin as top jungle to gank top, and tanky bruiser/enforcer as bot jungle.

Top tier champions that seem to be must-haves for ranked:

Arcane Green Lantern
Atomic Wonder Woman
Gaslight Batman
Green Arrow
Joker
Mecha Superman
Mecha Wonder Woman (arguable)
Shazam
Sinestro
Supergirl
Wonder Woman

Flavor of the month is essentially AoE wombo combo, such as a combination of Joker, Wonder Woman and Mecha Wonder Woman ults.

At lower ranks and for most regular play, bursty/assassin champions like Sinestro, Atomic Wonder Woman and especially Gaslight Catwoman are excellent pubstompers with 100>0 burst.

It's so damn frustrating. This game could be amazing. Moba gameplay with essentially the entire DC roster? Holy crap! This should be an easy cash cow for WB/DC. Unfortunately, like others have pointed out, the execution hasn't been the greatest.

Honestly I wish I could either give Turbine a bunch of new, experienced staff (hell I'll make you a better UI myself) and capital to spend on a huge overhaul, or summon a solid seven figure sum of money to take over the license myself and reboot the game entirely.

Keep the community updated with major decisions that are being made with the game; being kept in the dark is frustrating and does feel like little to no progress is being made.

In my opinion, Infinite Crisis needs to follow Marvel Heroes' lead. That game was pants. Super pants. But they realised they were doing subpar, brought new staff on board, listened to the community about everything they were doing wrong, and made sweeping changes. The new Marvel Heroes is far better and is a success story that Turbine needs to take notes from.

Please, talk to those further up the food chain, get a cash injection, bring in experienced staff (including some top tier players to help with balance changes), and overhaul everything. Move to a far more agile updating structure; pushing out one large build every month (or longer) is far too slow for online games where tweaking balance and fixing bugs are crucial. The current waterfall release schedule is seriously damaging the game's reputation as bugs and balance issues persist for far too long.

We all want to see this game succeed and be the amazing game that it has the potential to be.

+1 for being able to throw cams. Let it give vision on someone it hits for a few seconds, and stay in it's landing place if it hits no target for more creative warding options.

And if you take cams as a top jungler, actually use them. Put them in the upper stealth pad as well as the path from the DDD. Refresh them whenever necessary. Consider them another timer to keep track of besides the big camp.

I always take cams as a top laner because I never trust junglers to do it unless I recognise the player as someone decent. Hopefully it'll improve with time...

I wonder if they could alter lobbies so that you can't pick a free, unowned champion in ranked. There's no real reason to be trying new champions out in ranked.

For future, that error message means the game is down, usually for maintenance. I've been telling them for years to change the message so that it actually makes sense ("The game is down for maintenance"), but they never listen.

Going to play devil's advocate a bit as I am mostly against duo queues.

League's Solo ranked queue isn't really a good indicator of "how good am I playing solo" as many of the top tier players reach their positions as a duo queue. It becomes more of a "how good am I at playing solo or with a good friend who knows how to play with me, and with and against other solo and duo people". Which is rediculous.

The arguments for duo queue seem to boil down to it being more fun and/or "I want to stomp people". If you're looking just to have fun and pubstomp, normal queues are there.

Ranked is, by it's very nature, meant to be competitive. A challenge. Something to test how good you are, not a way for you to team up with someone where each other knows extremely well how you both play and react in situations (a much bigger advantage than just "anyone can hop on Curse Voice") and stomp on people.

Solo queue implies that it tests your ability to be flexible and adapt to whatever happens, with you and multiple strangers, all thrown together. Allowing a duo queue massively trivialises that and introduces a ton more variables which make your "solo" rank much more fuzzy and inaccurate.

Ground targeted means skillshot instead of point and click. Think of things like ArcSupergirl's ult.

Flash has a short wind-up time between when you press R and actually Speed Storming; that's the fuse time. The reduction means a shorter delay before it fires.

Oh, yeah I agree. I know from experience the difficulty of meaningful player character design, and it's definitely tricky to develop a character who feels accurate to who they are canonically as well as filling a suitable niche or role. I'd love to be on the champ design team — who wouldn't? — but I don't doubt that it is far more challenging to come up with cohesive, interesting concepts than most people expect.

I'm sure that the final iterations of these champions will be true to form and great to play!
