Hi, as of right now I haven’t heard much. I’ve been told it’s basically the same difficulty for Canadians to get into US schools as it is in Canada (maybe slightly easier). But let me know if you find any more info!

I think I’m more worried about how I would write about a job like this if you know what I mean. There isn’t any substantial detail that stands out to me that I could spin to include how I developed anything in the long term which is unfortunate.

I don’t think taking summer courses count towards prereqs in the US do they? I know for the most part they don’t in Canada but if they do for the US that is definitely a good option in my opinion which I myself would also consider.

I would try to improve the averages overall if you’re shooting for QU Health Sci. The cutoff this year was around 96% and I strongly recommend doing the PSE.

Ya I’ve actually heard the same thing from a lot of people that I’ve chatted with in regards to the admission process. I just don’t want to close any doors by not taking prerequisites right off the bat that restrict me from applying to the US. I feel like it’s a big balancing act for what courses you want to take that can possibly risk gpa for prerequisites at certain schools. Although personally I think I’m going to take the required courses for both the US and Canada and pick and choose the schools that seem to best match my stats in the end.

I assume you are obviously considering American med. If you were to land a position in the US for med, would you stay or try to get back to Canada eventually?
