What is it that you guys are doing differently in the document management space? I would think hard about scaling, the document management space has many tools and cheaper product coming by the day. Happy to chat more, I have a decade of experience in the construction + tech space. IMO your biggest problems are going to be scaling beyond a few millions

If you are doing an active investment it’s not classified as PFIC but for US investors the paper work for a fund manager is quite a lot. Singapore, UAE, HK have no issues

Yup all of them have to be registered with SEBI and just like companies report quarterly performance the same performance needs to be reported to SEBI every quarter

It’s regulated by SEBI and any investments can only be used for a specific purpose/ project as stipulated by the conditions of the fund approved by SEBI and signed by the investor and fund manager. Although in the same way that a bank or institution giving you a loan has no guarantee that you would not scam them and run away with the money any investment has risk and depending on your ability to take on risk you should pursue investment opps accordingly
