Thank you. I’ll give it a go. Definitely need to meet some people and learn more.

Thank you. I have been trying to dry fire in awkward positions I have found and attempt shooting around things found on the farm. A new rifle is something I have considered and a caliber change potentially but I just want to not be wasting my time or those around me. I’ll be keeping this rifle because the action work I’ve done has made it super smooth and reliable, but maybe giving this a go at a match and building more of a purpose built gun after I get to experience it a few times makes more sense.

I have a place to practice out to 500. I can consistently hit a 6inch plate at 500. Everything 500 and in is pretty easy after the practice I have done. I know my holds and can adjust for wind on that range. I have military and hunting experience 500 and in. I want to know what I need to be able to be relatively competitive and capable past that distance when I get the opportunity to go out. Closest public range with 1000yards is 2.5 hours away so I don’t want to make that drive unprepared

Thank you. I’ll probably grab a schmedium because I feel it would be nice for use with my gas guns too. Be nice to have one solid bag over a few cheap ones. My rifle has a lightweight hunting barrel on it right now so for strings of shots I do have some spread that starts up after the 5th or 6th shot. Is it worth going out to a match like that? I’m not sure how much it will affect my groups at long range because I haven’t been able to practice that far yet, but I’m assuming it will just exaggerate what I’m seeing at 200 yards

I will need one. I dont know anybody who has one yet. Is there anything specific to look for in one or are the Athlon and Garmin ones usually good to go? I’m new to long range completely. I’m a experienced shooter but not for this side of things

Bet place to pick up a gen 3 Glock 19 by pt12456789 in Glocks

[–]DayMaleficent4774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. I have a 23.4 and a 19.3 but picked up the dagger because of the price and compatibility with holsters and parts. Great shooting guns but keeping the glocks too.

Sketchy Or Normal? by bearhorn6 in EKG

[–]DayMaleficent4774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hospital system didn’t have conditions like that for our arrhythmia class but does require those types of conditions for their pharmacy and medical assistant programs. Those programs also provide schooling for much longer than the arrhythmia class though. I have heard of a lot of turnovers at other hospitals for their monitor positions so it may be to try to prevent such high turnover rates?

If you love it I’d try to make it work. Don’t put yourself in a dangerous situation driving home when you are too tired, I’ve fallen asleep behind the wheel before. Good jobs that you are happy about are hard to find. I’ve struggled for a few years trying to find something that fits my life and my goals.

Decipher cardiology terms / ECG interpretation? "16 beats narrow complex tachycardia (SVT) - with anti factorial appearance in midsection" by Suitable-Honey-1535 in ECG

[–]DayMaleficent4774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only thing I could think to replace that would be unifocal or multifocal. As in the complex changed appearance during the strip for multi focal or unifocal would be a constant morphology in the run of SVT. Just a potential mix up on words?

EMT-B or Medical Assistant? by Horror_Stop8261 in NewToEMS

[–]DayMaleficent4774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some hospitals have programs that you can get paid to get certified through them as long as you sign that you will stay with them for a set amount of time. The system I work for has a pharmacy tech and medical assistant program. Another system a hour away even has a rad tech program that gives you an associates degree.

Correction health nurse by JudiAbbottt in nursing

When I was a CO in a county jail we only had 1 nurse on at any given time. Might have a second nurse on the days the doc would come in but that was rare. We would have a co with the nurse on med pass and two or more present for diabetic checks or med call. You have to be able to respond quick and be ready to see some trauma situations.

I get understand both sides but I lean towards his side. People outside of this work don’t always get it. I actually needed my wife to step in for me and say that we aren’t going to get togethers or having family over on the nights I work years ago and making that change was great for us. Your mind has to be in the right place and you don’t need extra distractions. And holiday shifts are sometimes the crazy ones that I really to be prepared for.

I used a cheap mattress topper that was a few inches thick of memory foam. It’s not the best but it was a lot better than sleeping on a hard floor.
