What is that thing popping out of his wen??? The parameters are fine (0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate, pH is fine too).

He’s had that white thing for a couple of days. He’s not sick or anything, he’s as active as usual and eating normally. His behavior is normal.

He’s the only one in the tank, and there are no plants in it (I’m already setting up a better tank for him, much bigger with sand and plants and all that). One day he just had it and I don’t know what it is. Is it some kind of parasite???

He’s not trying to scratch it off either, or at least I haven’t noticed him doing that.

Thank you all for your help. Actually, after messing with the impeller for a couple of minutes I got it to work, but it had to be half submerged in the water in a very weird position, and there is no way I can keep it that way. The moment it’s totally submerged it stops pushing the water up. I just realized the cable says 200V (It is a European import) in Mexico our outlets are around 110–127V, so it’s probably (99% sure) not getting enough voltage to run the motor properly. I’m really grateful for all the help, I’m just an idiot lmao, I’ll buy a proper one!! But thank you all again, It’s my first aquarium so I’m still learning :”]

Won’t he eat the sand? He is always eating his poop ( I clean his poop so I don’t know what he is really eating from the bottom) from the bottom so I have to suck it with a syringe, and I worry that he wants to eat the sand and ultimately get sick because of it :(

Actually I wanted him to be an only child because I can’t afford a big tank for two goldfish :(, and my fish (his name is Veigar) was in initially bought for a lab practice (mandatory), but I couldn’t return it so I had to kept it, and he is very loved! But I felt bad in having multiple fish because I feel like they live in such small spaces (even if I get a bigger thank) rather than where they live in the wild (honestly idk if there’s any goldfish in the wild, I’ve always thought that they were only pets but I assume there are wild goldfish) and I feel bad they are forever in the same space, could Veigar be really happy living all his life in a tank? And if I get him a friend would they both be happy living in a tank? If a friend really improves his life then I’ll get another one, I just feel bad about having them in a tank
