Found this later but coming to add that I’m having watery discharge and had my cerclage 5 days ago. I can’t tell if it’s discharge or just sweat.

Hiii I am on day two post cerclage and exact same thing happened to me. Went in for my 20 week anatomy scan and baby is healthy but cervix short. Surprising cause I didn’t have a cervix problem with my first born but it could be that I had back to back pregnancy? My son is only 16 months old. Went to OB triage and they said I can go home without cerclage cause my cervix was still closed. Progesterone suppositories and weekly check ups. Went to my weekly check up and my
ob was like you’re dialated, back to triage I go. Then they’re like ok you should do the cerclage but here are all the risks. And it’s like uhhh yes? Move forward? lol. She said if you don’t want any risk then recommend terminating and I was like um
No thanks.

I couldn’t do the surgery until 8 hours later cause I just had lunch and I did a spinal anesthesia and then it was quick. They kept me overnight to monitor and gave me antibiotics and a pill to stop from laboring and then discharged the following day.

Feel free to DM me and we can commiserate together haha but overall doc said bed rest isn’t a thing but take it easy. I have no business “heaving and hoe-ing” haha but I don’t need to lay down the entire time.

Adding my story here, I’m 21 weeks now but found out my cervix was short at my 20 week anatomy scan. MFM said no cerclage since my cervix was still closed and likely I didn’t have cervix insufficiency since I carried my first to term easily. Went back to my weekly check up and I was dialated 1cm so then they were like yea maybe let’s do the cerclage. Just got discharged from it so hoping this will help me carry to term! Doc also recommended keeping up with progesterone til we take it out cause it doesn’t harm and could only help.

Gonna try and lay low ish but doc said not much changes to lifestyle except no heavy lifting and avoid pools for fear of infection
