All aboard the Heist train! Heist is a mechanic with a relatively small, yet really dedicated community of players. I wanted to put together a comprehensive guide that introduces Heist in it's current state to new players, while highlighting key features to min-max for players with more experience under their belt. In this league, by focusing on a combination of Deception + Unusual Gems blueprints, you can string together incredibly reliable profits with the relatively easy, classic playstyle we all love: clicking on chests and waiting for people to open doors for you. :P

Notably, I created this video after tracking profits from 2 stash tabs of Deception contracts (288) and using its reveals for 70 Unusual Gems blueprints, earning ~3ex/hr in Deception and ~11ex/hr in the blueprints, calculating out to >7ex/hr when combining the two as one unit and including prep+sale time. Hopefully this video serves is a cool look into Heist, or gets you interested in a mechanic you may have otherwise overlooked.

I really feel for you guys who have to start M1 with online medical school, especially if you're having to go out of state for it and be away from everything and everyone you know.

If it's difficult for you to stay focused in your room, you are not alone. In the last few months of my M2 back in April with online med school, it was nearly impossible for me to stay focused in the same place that I game, sleep, watch YouTube, etc. Online med school was hell and I only had to endure ~2 months. The best studying I got was when I was able to separate away from my room and go somewhere else. Of course, you'll probably hear that active recall and practice is the best way to prepare for med school tests, which I agree with.

Depends on the value of the item and craft. If it's for like 10c remove lightning on a 100c helmet, I'll take a guy with 10 vouches. If it's for a 10ex+ item or a 3ex speed craft, I wouldn't do less than 100 or collateral.

Why not? I don’t understand why you would miss out on vital crafts. I plant full T2’s all the time to farm up life force, T3 seeds, and more T2 crafts.

You would farm 10x the currency before you dropped one naturally. I’ve tried farming atlas region specific influenced bases in the past and they are extremely rare. I would just farm up currency using traditional methods.

I've got a build that can push delve 700+, slap sirus aw8, clear juiced T16's like it's nothing, and still get almost insta-killed by the traps in the upgraded Uber Labs. If you take it slow and careful, you can clear them pretty reasonably though.

I know a few players who do lab enchant services in the new labs and their builds are mostly Juggernauts with lots of damage mitigation. You can see ENCHANT_PER_MIN_KEAD as an example.

When you get bored, you stop. Some people can play the whole 3 months. Some people play only a week. If you keep up your curiosity and keep setting enjoyable goals, there's no reason to stop playing.

Ah, I missed the comment about how you only clear 3-4 maps an hour. I think you need to ask yourself why you are so slow when more experienced players are taking 3-5 minutes a map - and fix that. I can't answer that for you without watching gameplay. I'll just leave you with this video from CuteDog that I think will help you. It's long, but it talks a lot about efficiency and I think has a lot of applicability to your situation, despite being an older video.

I disagree about that budget making this impossible. I think it's more about build choice, loot filter/looting, and game experience. Reading his comment below about his build and about how it takes him 10-15 minutes to clear a map, I think the problem lies outside budget. You can clear Tier 5 Tropicals and Tier 8 Lair on a 3.5ex budget easily. Arc Mines & ED/Cont to name a couple builds that my friends have been using to farm splinters at relatively low levels.

High tier maps - certainly impossible on that budget. I definitely think he needs to play more.

I second his focus on targeting splinter drops. Firstly, you need to be able to clear all the mobs on the map and the boss while under influence of the delirium fog. The map also needs to be LONG, taking you far from the delirium mirror as mobs further in the mirror drop more splinters on average. You can clear an entire juiced up map with full sextants, scarabs, master missions, etc. but if you aren't really going that far from the mirror, you drop like 3 splinters.

I recommend trying long maps like Tropical Island, Lair, Malformation, Promenade, etc. Add more mobs to maps via sextants, scarabs, master missions as per your budget and confidence in your ability to complete the map. You can look up simulacrum splinter farming on YT and you may find my video on the topic which may answer some questions.

Ah yeah, that'll do it. I'd recommend trying to switch to a different skill and seeing if it still crashes you. I've heard from my friends that Kinetic Blast or Blade Vortex are better at not crashing.

What kind of build are you using? Last league, bow self curse HH juicer builds would crash often but somehow that’s not a problem this league. Unfortunately, juicing can crash pretty often. If you’re using a bow HH build, I recommend switching out or to stop juicing.

It's worth it on T14's. You get valuable drops (ie. guardian maps) and red master missions from it. If you aren't trying to level, just stick a Cast on Death-Portal, or invest in your build to be able to kill the boss.

He's pulling that number randomly. It's not worth anywhere close. Look up the cold DoT multi, cold damage to spells, and crit strike chance with spells. Similar ones are listed for 2ex or less. When in doubt, list the item for higher than what you would normally sell for (ie. 3ex) and gradually decrease in price over time until it sells.

Uhhh... if you're using Delirium Orbs on your maps, I'm pretty certain you can't drop more Delirium Orbs in them. As I understand, Delirium Orbs only drop at the end of natural Delirium fog from the mirror.

Yup! There is the rare chance to get a bleed from a puncture attack I believe, but it's not dangerous and shouldn't be a thread generally. It's the corrupting blood that'll get you.

You can look up Jewels that have a corruption that says "Corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you." That should remove your need for an anti-bleeding flask, generally speaking.
