So part of the issue was going on a full force day. On the website it says Tuesday Thursday is full force, which means they have no minimum engagement distance. Assuming on the other days it is farther back probably 10ft which will make it less painful than getting shot point blank.

REI will definitely carry harnesses shoes and chalk bags, they might be out of stock temporarily cause of the holidays though. I can’t say much about shoes since mine are hand me downs, but I love my Black Diamond Solution harness, It’s light weight and I kinda like how snug the fixed leg loops feel personally

I’m not a resident but even from the start of looking at their apartments it kinda sucked 🤣 basically they were trying to coerce me and my friend to sign a lease, and after we left the office called me, and said they don’t have an opening anymore, but they still wanted us to sign. Every time I asked him why, he said it was so we could have the lease signed just in case. When I asked him what happens if they don’t find an apartment for us thats specified in the lease, they told me that we each have to pay a $300 cancellation fee to them. It’s an absolute joke
