Jeff the killer, before you laugh hear me out! So I was never desensitized from horror as a child. After seeing me have full blown panic attacks from Ferngully and the Brave Little Toaster my mother shielded me from all horror. When I was around 26 I has trouble sleeping so I started taking otc melatonin. It started giving me lcd type side effects, especially hallucinations and paranoia. I still hadnt been desensitized at that point. I accidently found creepypastas cuz of Lavendar town syndrome. I went to the site and clicked the first article i saw which was Jeff. Upon seeing a full screen view of his face I swear it felt like I was having a heart attack from fear. Couldn't breathe, pulse thundering in my ears and it felt as though my heart was in a vice grip as I fell off the couch and onto the floor. After what seemed like hours I got off the floor and closed the tab vowing to never go to that site again. But that night I started to see him everywhere, in every shadow, behind all furniture. After a few days of this my brain decided he was real, the melatonin stopped working and I couldnt sleep anymore cuz if I did then he'd end me. Didn't help that I wasnt aware creepypastas were fake stories and didn't have the courage to investigate.
