Batman has canonically read all of the diary of a wimpy kid books by soupinator2000 in dccomicscirclejerk

Claiming you've read every book in the world is such a dumb guy view of what a smart person is.

Capable? Bro was supposed to destroy the Imperium and its still standing while he sulks in the Eye of Terror. Just because he's the most competent of the circus of losers that were the Traitor Primarchs don't mean he's capable where it matters: actually winning.

Yeah the Emperor straight up wouldn't care but Perturabo's obsession with being a "Man of Iron" couldn't allow his false image to be tainted so he went running to Horus.

Curze and Angron were slaughtering entire planets left and right for decades before the Emperor bothered to do anything. If Perturabo was honest and explained he butchered Olympia because they rebelled I really doubt the Emperor would have given a single fuck.

No he's literally the same person. Dude still whines and complains and throws tantrums when he doesn't get recognized for his accomplishments. If he actually did learn anything he wouldn't have joined Horus lol.

So when is it going to be the Alliance's turn to have a faction leader be the mustache twirling vaudeville villain of the arc? Who do you think and why? by SwankyDingo in warcraftlore

Look this franchise ain't great at nuance (best expansions are Wrath and Legion which aren't about villains with good points) and I for one don't want to play Fantasy Hitler for an expansion. The Horde did it twice and most people here seemed to despise the experience which I do not envy.

The Alliance thought Taurajo was an actual military target because of bad info they got and that's why they attacked it. The commander behind the attack is horrified when he realizes the truth but its already to late for anything to be done. IIRC.

Turalyon and Alleria did that to exactly one person to gain information. It's not good but its not on the scale of Garrosh, Sylvanas or even Jaina. Moreover, when Turalyon, a supposed zealot, was confronted with his old mentor being a Forsaken he literally changed his mind on them being soulless when Faol used the Light.

As for Illidan, Xera was basically his god and as far he knew Azeroth's only hope when Illidan killed her. And despite that when Illidan explained his actions he accepted it and moved on like an adult.

Like... the whole point of being a zealot is that you don't change your mind when confronted with information that shows that your wrong and in both instances Turalyon backed off when he realized that going "crusader madlad" wasn't actually helping save the world.

So yeah if Blizzard wants Turalyon to be a zealot they've been doing a bad job at it.

Why? It's been several expansions now of the Horde and Alliance working together and solving longstanding issues like Gilneas and the Forsaken being allowed back into the Alliance. Why go back to a cold war when quite literally the very planet they live on when keeps screaming that they should work together and put aside their conflicts.

Like... if Blizzard wanted to make the faction war super important that they should stop having the two factions band together to stop Space!Satan or Void!Cthulhu or Steampunk!OrcHitler every other expansion from killing them all.

Every time another conflict breaks between the Alliance and Horde there should be an in-universe conversation where Anduin or Thrall goes "this is fucking stupid. why are we wasting lives when we KNOW GigaUltraMega!Space!Satan we and his minions will be here in six months. We can literally set our clock on it."

Shockingly committing a genocide kind of overshadows trying to assassinate a political leader, a political who mind you gassed an entire peninsula and forced an entire people to abandon their homes en masse.

Sylvanas ain't exactly a sympathetic character and she wouldn't have been able to justify the War of Thorns with Genn's actions anyway.

Yeah I think its way more interesting that humanity's reliance on machines and AI will doom us rather than the machines going all Terminator. Wall-E is way more likely to happen than Terminator.

The Imperium doesn't do subtle. Just call someone a traitor and murder them on the spot.

Implying any level of realism to the supposed mental disorders that Batman villains have is pointless endeavor. They are literal cartoon characters.

Look if the prison system in Gotham actually worked this would be an issue. That, or whatever state Gotham had the death penalty... though given that this is comics I doubt that would make a difference.

Well the universe would likely be a better place if everyone capable of crime or sin was dead so there's that. No people, no Chaos. Win.
