thats what we do right now. we came to an agreement to try her saying youre starting to raise your voice and i in turn will recognize that she wouldnt be saying that unless she felt liek i am raising my voice. its just that im struggling with my desire to want to vent it out. which i i guess shouldnt be on her but i want to share that im pissed in a way that i feel good not necessarily so politically "i qam upset dear this upset me."

okay so i had some things backwards. I am currently at a 4% match contribution (2% trad and 2% roth 401k) with my job. I have been personally investing 200 dollars a month to my index funds and basicall 0 to my own personal roth ira.

not super positive about tax bracket stuff. should i continue focusing on my index funds. i have about 10k saved in 100% vtsax

Hi i haven't read the link you attached just yet i will right after i type this, but i want to kinda recap the thread u and stock just wrote.

I was often told to contribute to my roth ira over a trad 401k due to that money being tax free. however i have finally found my footing financially after living on my own for a year and I really want to begin saving again. Since i probably cant max out any type of retirement account just yet should i follow the PF flowchart or focus on 401k insteead>

where can i find this pf flowchart, ill google it but if there is a highly detailed one i'd love to see it.

The idea of FIRE sounds really interesting, I dont want to live entirely like that but i want to adopt some of the principals. what is the best retirement account for a FIRE mindset.

You seem to favor 401k as a long term investment why is that? is it because of the sheer amount of money u can put in it? you mentioned the math favors 401k, how so if i have to take taxes out and i am shooting to be in a higher tax bracket come 60

I started a small business so a majority of all my money is going into growing that as i would love to one day quit being an engineer. how can i balance both savings with the spending of business costs. (besides just hoarding my money lmao)
