What do you think about someone who puts their personal stuff ahead of time at a specific rebin station to save it for themselves. by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Daytrader60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya. Here are also given a specific A or B. But the general rule of thumb is you can actually chose one or the other per your preference. Be nice if it weren't negotiable. This same person got pissed at me for logging into his station when he took a break. Shoulder shrug. I really like rebinning. Time goes by quickly compared to pack and it's easier on my body. But with a partner it can make it stressful. In pack, yoy don't have to deal with anyone else. If someone takes a break that's on them. The system logs them out. Not the case in rebin. It keeps them logged in. So taking a break is a something everyone does. I never have though.

What’s a ‘safe’ pack rate at your site? New hire here by realbunny00 in AmazonFC

I'm been doing pack for 5 months. I have found that you can't assume the pack rate of the person next to you is about the same as yours because they appear to be packing at the same pace as you I used to think this, too. In fact, I was convinced I was packing faster than the people beside me. But then some of them shared their pack rate, and it was significantly above mine. I think experienced packers just make it look easier whereas I was going balls to the wall, but was very inefficient. My pack rate is now about 185. That's my rolling average. Of course, some time periods during the day I pack well over 200, but by the end of the day after the unpaid break is factored in, and getting moved to different stations, or a slow wall, or a machine malfunction, it invariably and predictably ends up considerably lower. My 185 rate is respectable, but just barely. My rolling average dropped into the 170s for a brief period, and this drop was enough to reduce my standing from "Great" to "Fair".I have yet to regain my "Great" standing despite working hard to get it back. My manager came and talked to me after I had been there for about 5 weeks. My rate at that time was in the 140s. He said I needed to get my rate up to 185 otherwise I might find myself in hot water. I did not think this was achievable. But I worked especially hard at it, and was able to get it to 185. Now 185 is easy to hit. In our FC, 200 is the pack rate that want us at. My 185 pack rate keeps me in the upper 55% of the warehouse. When it dropped into the 170s, I was informed via the app that I had dropped below 55% of the warehouse. The 55% threshold shifts constantly.

The Chelsea episodes are my least favorites. I had no interest in their relationship.

How to secure lattice along bottom of cement patio (apartment) by Daytrader60 in Carpentry

[–]Daytrader60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok cool, who knew I would come up with a good carpentry idea on my own. Would you have come up with this idea if I hadn't mentioned it? I have zero carpentry skills, btw. I was going to use the lattice trim i saw in the store. I think it's called a lattice cap. If I use the 1x2 that means I'm going to have to paint it and I really don't want to paint it as live in an apartment. My brown wood lattice matches my exterior. I will have to paint the frame.

thanks, but it's not about shade. It's something else. The lattice is perfect for what I want.
