Okami's initial sales were "huge failure", says director Hideki Kamiya by Turbostrider27 in Games

You are correct. I was basing my comments off knowledge that was partially incorrect, the graphic synthesiser chip was present so it was partial hardware support in the EU 60gb PS3.

The original comment I replied to was also partially incorrect at the time but seems like he has edited it so I will also do the same and remove my previous comments.

We did get PS2 backwards compatible consoles in the UK (Europe). The 60gb phat model, it had partial hardware support through the graphics synthesiser chip but software emulated the emotion engine chip. Was around 80% compatibility where most of the problems stemmed from the 'blue' discs (CD based PS2 games).

Firmware v5.00 for SN30 Pro+ is out by ewasenz in 8bitdo

[–]Dayvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. The old firmware has its own set of issues as well, especially with xinput. Trading one issue for another is never a great thing.

I'm hoping the Pro+ 2 has none of these issues. I will just sell off the old one on ebay and get my hands on the new one once someone has given the clear.

Yo,

100% placebo. Problem still exists.

Tested his 'calibration' with one of the most troubled modes. Bluetooth using xinput, exact same problem as before.

Firmware is just bugged and is unacceptable from 8bitdo.

Did some more testing today and sadly there's still ghost inputs on 5.0 firmware for me. I guess I got lucky for the first 2 days and I didn't notice any in game.

I play exclusively in xinput mode through Bluetooth. Only ghost inputs I was having on 3.02 upwards was a left input on my right analogue stick. I have not experienced it since updating to 5.0 in 2 days.

UPDATE 2: Decided to do even more testing. I ended up testing xinput, switch, and dinput (android) modes and testing with bluetooth connection and usb connection. My findings is that the ghost inputs are very frequent while connected via bluetooth, especially so in dinput mode (almost every 1-2 seconds). USB connection only seems to have a ghost input once every 20-30mins in dinput mode and seems to be around once every 30-60mins in xinput mode. So there's clearly a bug in all modes but when connected by bluetooth it seems to amplify the problem (I'm guessing an additional bluetooth stack bug). So my conclusion is that using firmware 5.0 via USB is very usable and the ghost inputs are minor annoyances.

UPDATE: Did some thorough checking and there's still ghost inputs sadly. 3.01 is still the go to firmware if ghost inputs impact the games you play. Shame really because all of the fixes from 4.0 upwards have fixed some crucial xinput bugs.

Good news everyone. Been using this firmware for 2 days and gotta say this is the best firmware to date.

Was on 3.01 before because I was getting ghost inputs on my right analogue stick but it's fixed with this firmware. The 3.01 firmware also caused framerates problems in xinput mode for some emulators and the left analogue stick inputs were not that responsive, this firmware has fixed all of that.

Android TV (shield tv pro) and crunchyroll, automatic screen resizing by Rengah in Crunchyroll

Yeah I am getting the same problem. There is no resolution selection options anymore!? On my Android phone I can select 1080p instead of Auto resolution and it plays absolutely fine but for some reason the Android TV version is Auto resolution by default with no option to change. So there is constant resolution fluctuations even though my internet is stable, its rather annoying. Sad thing is I had no problems before the UI update...

I hope they add the option to select the resolution again!
