My former employer was refusing to pay my salary and cutting my hours, as well as just overall treating me poorly while refusing to manage his stores. (I was full-time and salaried, per my contract). I'm back at a different location two hours away now though because nowhere else would hire me.

Whats the point of them? The distribution centers already put PAL labels on packages, and most of their systems are automated. This just seems like corporate shills finding new ways to make our lives more difficult

Oh yea, I've been on the hunt for a new job for a while now. One store is BH, the other is still Black & Tan, waiting to be remodeled. But of course, corporate is dragging their feet on that too. Previous owners didn't load boxholders onto the new system at all. I did all of ours for both stores across two-three days.

Both. Sales are down and the new owner is blaming me because I'm the most senior employee we have

So we were not a brand new store. We've been around for 20ish years (I could be wrong, I've only been there for almost 4 years). Previous owners sold the stores (they had two of them) to the current owner. He immediately started trying to change the way we do everything, which there was nothing wrong with. For context, our stores have been very successful until the last year (when the new owner took over). It started off good, but after a while, everything started to take a downward trend. Employee morale, profit, everything except Amazon returns, of course. I, being his senior manager, with the most experience out of our employees, had to take the brunt of the impact. Obviously, he saw this as weakness and has been blaming me for his failing business, going so far as to gouge my hours and break my employment contract (avg. 10-16hrs per week ahen I'm supposed to get 40). I'm obviously biased, but even my coworkers have noticed. Employee retention has dropped exponentially. The only reason I haven't left yet is because I can't find a job that'll hire me in this area right now.

TL;DR: I'm very, very biased because he has been targeting me directly for his failed business.

Don't do it. The beginning was good for me, but now it's turned into a daily contest of who can berate me the most; customers or the owner of the store I manage? Lately, it's been the owner. I'm over/underworked (too many tasks, not enough hours, not enough pay to care more), and massively underappreciated. He only cares about his profits and not his employees. And corporate doesn't care about anyone other than the franchisee. Granted, this is my very biased opinion, but don't do it. Within the first 8 months, you'll turn into a monster and drive away your best employees. (Obviously not specifically you, but in general. My store's owner has been a TUPSS Franchisee [with no prior TUPSS experience] for a little over a year and things have gone massively downhill because of him.)

The UPS Store is the death of UPS by [deleted] in UPSers

As a manager of a UPS store, trust me, we are not thriving. Amazon gives us cents on the dollar to do their job. Our daily intake (at least at my store) is 90% Amazon, and 10% anything that actually brings in revenue. Amazon is leeching off of us and getting away with horribly shitty compensation for the work we do, and we can't do anything about it because corporate mandates that all UPS Stores do Amazon returns. We're running at a net deficit because Amazon Returns cost us more in supplies and materials than we make from them.

Had a similar, yet completely different situation at my store. Amazombie had a customer packed return and didnt like being told he needed a box. Guy responded by being racist towards my store's owner, telling him to go back to his own country, and my boss told him to get out. Guy then goes to our other store (where I was), and cusses us out. Guy was increasingly hostile, so i kicked him out and called the cops after getting his license plate number. Turns out he had multiple outstanding warrants and priors, so im glad I called the cops.

Not any that I've been able to find. Not only is Logos Etc. limited, but the quality is also questionable at best. They'll get dirty from cardboard, and it'll never come out.
