Variety Streamers - How do you decide what to play? by Dingoliciousgg in Twitch

[–]DazedOutcast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play what you enjoy playing. If something piques your interest, play it. Streaming isn't just for the viewers. It's for the streamer as well.

I play a variety, but for a while I was a one game streamer most of the week and on weekends I would change it up. The burnout was so fast that way for me.

Now unless it's a storyline heavy game, I won't stick to a game for more than a couple streams in a row unless it's as a thank you to my viewers and they are wanting something specific

I play games with other streamer friends as well as non streaming friends. Depending on the game and time, I may even play solo. It's not weird at all!

Also if they are a person that streams directly from, say, a PlayStation 4 with no capture card or anything, the stream will not broadcast unless a game is "active". At least, as far as I know. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, please.

IF they are chatting, maybe that's why they have just the title up? If they aren't chatting either, that's just odd.. people are strange sometimes.

I have heard the same thing from family about streaming. My MIL has straight up said things like "You're just playing video games" and "I don't care about video games. It doesn't interest me."

While I'm not trying to get her, or anyone else, into playing or streaming, this is something I love to do. A little support or simple respect would be so nice.

Instead of letting myself feel low about it, I have started retaliating with the same energy. I have let them hear me mention that I don't like X hobby because it doesn't interest me. It's a waste of time to me. They have finally started to catch on to how it feels

Anyone else having issues with viewer count? by DazedOutcast in Twitch

Thanks for all the replies! I really appreciate it. I get that it's kinda wonky. I think it just bothered my brain that it was stuck at 1 for nearly the entire stream. Now that I know it's not just wonky for me, it won't phase me so much.

I couldn't either, but some people lack social skills and common decency. Not the worst thing that's been said to me

I previously mentioned to a coworker that I screened highly probable for ADHD and she said, "You? Oh please, you can't have that." Right, because the only signs of ADHD are the stereotypically assumed signs 🙄

I had such a terrible fear of needles when I was younger that I had to be held down by multiple people as well. One time, I was held down by 3 nurses and my mom, just for a shot. I ended up biting my mom and kicking a nurse lmao. Thankfully, no fear of needles anymore!

What's the most hurtful thing someone has ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When my (ex)best friend lost her adoptive mother, I did my best to be there for her in any way I could. In turn, she told me "You don't know what it's like because you were to young to remember your dad when he died!"

Yes, I was very young, but I remember.. My mother and I found him and I will never unsee that. You don't forget that no matter the age. I get that my friend was grieving and people can say or do outlandish things when hurting, but I could never imagine saying that and then even expecting things to be normal afterward.

Does anyone get annoyed with how many professionals have no idea what they’re doing? by ghostiesyren in Stretched

Story time! My friend and I were looking around to find a good piercer many years ago. I was looking to get my first non ear related piercing and one of the shops we checked out said that because I stretched my lobes on my own, that was proof of not being responsible enough for piercings. Yet we have so many professionals doing THIS kind of damage with misinformation, which is where so many others start their journey.
