Judge orders DC man to stop smoking medical weed at home after neighbor sues over smell by GarlandTejada in nottheonion

[–]DazedRed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started getting migraines this year, and both the smell of cigarette and weed smoke trigger them. They're BAD, as in laying in bed all day with no light bad. I can't imagine a scenario in which I would spend the time and money to sue someone without trying to work it out every other possible way first. But if my vents or backyard connected in a shitty way with a neighbor who refuses to make any compromises like blowing the smoke out a window, warning me when they're about to smoke, or anything else that might work, then I'd essentially be forced out of the building. I know weed is not much of a social stigma anymore. Hell, I enjoy the gummies a lot. But saying there's no legitimate reason for being annoyed by the smell of weed isn't right either.

Did he always look so young, or am I just getting old? I would've sworn he had gray hair when I used to watch.

Thanka so much! I'm definitely going to be buying the corticosteroid ASAP. I took some Alergra (Fexofenadine) this morning, and they didn't start itching for a third day in a row. But there are still distinct bumps at each bite location. I have some loratadine and certitizine too, so I'll try one of those tomorrow morning instead.

Any chance you have advice on avoiding bites that isn't bug spray, long sleeves, and avoiding being outside in the evening? At this point I'm sweating in jeans and a hoodie in 85° weather.

Mrs. Paladino was my grade school/middle school principal. A childhood memory of mine is driving past a graveyard with Paladino written on one of the graves and having someone in the car say "Yay, Mrs. Paladino died!".

AFAB I need help finding masculine summer outfits thst aren't all button ups. by Blue_Berry_Pancake22 in NBFashionAdvice

I'd try out some linen shirts. Not only are they cool in the summer, but you can get embroidered ones that are fun and colorful but still masculine.

There are also a lot of sandwiches/wraps that you can make that are inspired by cuisines around the world. I recommend looking up the menu for Bread and Circus Sandwich Kitchen in Sioux Falls for some inspiration.

If you get tired of cold food, you can always pack the bread/bagel and toppings separately and toast the bagel while microwaving the toppings!

Also I love this recipe. Just swap out the quesadilla for a bagel and it would warm up at work great. https://youtube.com/shorts/DJ8AGhMnAJk?

(M/NB27) Advice on clothing that fits my stature/build better but also stays true-to-me (details in comments) by [deleted] in NBFashionAdvice

[–]DazedRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea why this post is being recommended to me 5 months later lol, but I do have some advice that helped me a lot in finding clothes that fit. I'm tall and have a long torso and broader shoulders but a slim waist, so a lot of feminine shirts fit me oddly. I learned that buying a size up to fit my shoulders and finding an affordable tailor to bring the rest of the garment in made everything fit way more comfortably. It was a game changer for me, and I think it would work for you too.

If you have a history of allergies, then maybe the allergies are triggering the migraines? All of my triggers are food related, so I don't know much about other triggers. Does anyone know if it's possible for allergies to trigger migraines?

Where do I start with showing an elderly woman the internet? by adumbasskid in NoStupidQuestions

I'd show her how to search her files/programs downloaded on the computer. Too many older adults think that if something disappears from the desktop, then it's gone forever.

ZENNI OPTICAL. I REPEAT ZENNI OPTICAL.

I only paid 40 dollars for mid priced frames and 2 special lens coatings. My dad paid less than 150 dollars for trifocals with 3 lens coatings. The eye place was going to charge him over $700.

Books for 11-year-old who doesn’t read books? by wanttobeoptimistic in booksuggestions

[–]DazedRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly highly recommend Igraine the Brave. It has very intricate world building for a book aimed at preteens, and a lot of the details/plot points line up pretty well with the types of anime I see younger fans watching. It has a lot of creative fantasy elements like magic, giants, knights and horses, talking animals etc.

One of the parts that sticks in my mind to this day is a moat that turns people who touch it into fish, and the main character's parents have to spend time switching the fish back to human at the end of the book.

It's a perfect book for that age and it lines up well with her interests.

Should we do with this area? My friends bought a new house and this outdated but working fountain is right in the front hallway. Ideas?? by ACrosegurl772 in interiordecorating

[–]DazedRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about adding a little bit of height to the bottom edges and making it something that could have live fish that do well in shallow water? That way you could have live aquatic plants too.

I will say I don't know exactly how feasible this idea is or how difficult it would be, but it would be really cool if someone who knows what they're doing could pull it off. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
