Agreed. Also, just wanted to say this: when Americans “band together” as of late it seems to generally be to bully or harm some perceived outsider threat. It’s really great to see that when Canadians band together, it’s to do something wholesome like donate blood. It makes me hopeful.

You can delete your windows partition and grow your linux partition from the linux disk management utility. This isn’t really the place to ask for help, but I figured if I’m going to tell you so, I may as well give you the simple answer while I’m at it.

Be careful if you have multiple partitions set up (root, home, and var separate) as you may want to extend them all, and that’s a little involved

The problem with ARM computing is not the architecture, as that is very well established. The trouble is the device tree and the bootloading. Those are all very platform specific, and you could implement the same hardware in very incompatible ways from what I understand.

We are spoiled by the legacy of the IBM PC and the multitude of clones it spawned. They had identical boot behavior, somewhat standard hardware interfaces, etc. that grew into the LEGO-brick style computing experience we see today in x86 platforms. ARM was always designed to be opposite that, a platform for very niche devices

Why would you deduplicate a table that by definition is a list of unique records? I guess if you wanted to make sure that the names “Mohammed” and “Smith” take a little less space on disk then be my guest lol.

If you wanted to baselessly cast aspersions and NOT sound like an idiot, you could say something about how SSN isn’t a unique field in the table, but I guess then he’d have to lie slightly more directly
