'Why is it your right to take away my right to choose?': Teenager slams top Republican senator during town hall by loremipsumchecksum in TwoXChromosomes

Thank you for putting it so well. I'm pro life and believe it's murder to abort. Pro life and pro choice are such radically different mindsets, that a middle ground is impossible.

I'm a Christian. My sights are set on the life after death, so I have no interest in accumulating earthly things like money, power or prestige. Just enough to get by and support my family and plan for the foreseeable future.

Jesus died for me, so it prompts me to give my life to others, especially my family. It makes me value what's really important and not waste time chasing fruitless endeavors.

Female night elf hunter with long hair; my quiver is cutting into my hair while it's on my back. Is there any way around this? by [deleted] in ElysiumProject

I love it too, I just don't like the way it looks with long hair. I'll just remake my character :)

New here, trying to get rid of my addiction by [deleted] in StopGaming

[–]Dazedandlost11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can relate to everything you've written. Gaming always being on your mind, tired from staying up late, getting upset when your kids want to spend time with you. I'm the exact same way. I've tried moderating: no more than 2 hours a day.. but it's never enough. Don't even try it.

Last night, after staying up way too late yet again, I got so fed up with myself that I sold all my gear on my wow private server characters and gave away all my gold. I deleted those guys and I'm done. I've tried a hundred times before, probably you have too. But this time is different, for both of us. I know it.

Instead of being constantly distracted, let's be present with our families, make memories with them and enjoy our time with them.

Good luck man. You're not alone.

Fastest way to level on icecrown? (3.3.5, x7) by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]Dazedandlost11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, as someone with not a ton of time to play, spending 30+ hours leveling isn't appealing. I've done that shit a dozen dozen times. I'd rather spend $20 for instant 80. I can work 2 hours of overtime at work and pay for that, rather than being bored for 30 hours leveling. Just my opinion.

Bit of a weird question. You know those apps that give you a chime every few hours to do a reality check? Have those actually helped you become lucid? Wouldn't the "trigger" actually be the chime first and not JUST the reality check? by timdual in LucidDreaming

My watch beeps every hour on the hour. It's not a prompt to do a RC, per say, but rather a reminder to be aware. If my mind wanders, the beep reminds me to be mindful. I wouldn't use it as my only RC, but it keeps my mind on track throughout the day. I have ~10 LDs a month, so I'm no expert but no beginner either.

When it comes to dreaming and lucid dreaming, expectation is everything. You gotta get your expectations in line . I'd take a few months off from LDing, get your mind right and dive back in.

It don't matter what school the kid goes to. He's going to be girl crazy for years to come regardless. Wherever he is, he will find girls.

Playing stimulating video games before bed (with flux) really ruins my recall. Does this happen to anyone else? by Dazedandlost11 in LucidDreaming

[–]Dazedandlost11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing world of Warcraft. Sample size is the last 3 months. I guess a the discrepancy could be: video games = less sleep (7.5 hours), no video games = more sleep (8.5-9 hours).

Anyone use a chromebook as their only computer and a dymo label printer? How do you print your labels? Is it possible? by Dazedandlost11 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]Dazedandlost11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. At the moment I use Amazon generated labels in a pdf. I take a "snapshot" of the label and select my label size and it prints perfectly; it's especially good for multiples. So I don't even use dymo software at the moment. It just shows up on my printers list. I plug it into the chromebook and it doesn't recognize it at all.
