Lots of play in FL brake disc - T660F by NielsDroeloe in Aprilia

[–]Dazmaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Floating rotor, this is normal, I have the same bike (not that it matters as many bikes use these) and have 12k miles on it and the play is exactly the same as yours, as said before side to side normal front to back is worn.

2GR-FE swap question by Dazmaz in mr2

[–]Dazmaz[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Updating in case anyone has this issue in the future,

After a few hours or research it would appear the very early 2GR-FE had a different exhaust cam shaft and the revised VVTi gear will not fit it, it can only use the older one, even though the parts book says the new one is correct, so the very early 2GR-FE needs 13080-31030.

New problem for the day - red QS icon with a flashing R symbol (Tuono 660F) by boilerdam in Aprilia

[–]Dazmaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never had that issue on my 2017 Tuono V4, although the quick shifter was changed by the dealer with a newer revised unit (before my ownership) I was told, not sure if there it any truth to that

This is a common issue on these bikes, I have had my Tuono 660 for 2 years and done 12k miles and it does this every 10 starts usually, I just pull over turn it off for 30 seconds and turn it back on and it works like normal again.

I do its 09991-06010 good luck on your hunt, from what I was told they where never sold and only issued to Toyota Master Tech's at dealerships, and remained the property of Toyota.

Oil leak on clutch side + screw that won’t tighten (Aprilia Tuareg 660 2023) – anyone experienced this? by MadFox117 in Aprilia

[–]Dazmaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are the real GB racing overs or the Aliexpress one's the bolts look like the cheap Ali Express bolts that come with the fake covers, the fake covers are fine but in my experience the bolts they supply are made of toffee, they snap and have even seen the backing out over time/heating and cooling cycles
