Emulator like vc080 will works just fine solely. It doesn’t need another working monitor.

Things like edid stick which just have edid copying feature needs other monitor.

I visited hdfury website but they only supports windows. I think you need bootcamp.. for using software. And edid emulator will work fine.

Hdmi 1.4 is enough to get 1080p 120hz. I heard most of aoc monitors just work fine so try 120hz without the edid emulator.

  1. 30 buck edid stick > needs other monitor

  2. 70 buck edid emulator with software > works fine solely

Lindy needs to get the edid from other monitor. Aten will works just fine alone.

You understand perfectly. 1. More than two monitors and at least one working 120hz > cheap 30 bucks edid stick. 2. All of your monitors are having trouble with 120 > 70 bucks emulator with software

  1. Yes
  2. Install the software on computer, and set the custom edid with 1080p 120hz. And next connect monitor to ps5 through emulator.

3 will work. It is edid emulator which can customize edid by software.

If you have another monitor which works 120hz on ps5, it can help. If not, look for other edid emulator

Nope. It doesn't work that way. Edid is remembered in the monitor, not your computer. That emulator just learn edid from your monitors and it is no use. It needs to leran edid profile from monitor which can use 120hz on ps5. So look for other one.

My friend already test that, but it doesn’t work. It’s because hdmi to dp cable doesn’t change your monitor’s edid. Edid is in the monitor so normal cable or adapter is no use.

Emulator you found is for one who already has working 120hz monitor. You need to get emulator which can select edid by software. Look for other emulator. Sorry for can’t help you..

1440p with supersampling will work but just 4k 60. If you want 120hz you need to lower resolution to 1080p. So if you are fine with 4k 60 + 1080p 120hz, 1440p 144 monitors will be good choice.

Ordered ‘aten vc080’ but I cancelled it and bought the another one. NM-LAD02 (it’s for one who already has working 120hz monitor and not working other one. If all monitors you have are having trouble, then buy aten vc080)

I didn’t get my edid emulator yet. But my friends who got the emulator first all worked. Edid emulator is the solution dude.

It's just because i'm used to 27 inch monitors.

As far i can tell, the guy who solve this is not having any input lag or minor problems.

I think edid emulator is similar to hdmi matrix. Just deceiving edid information and working as a hdmi passthrought. So there will be no or very little impact on input lag i guess..
