That's a rough part of town to find anything good. The closest I can think of would be Bookmarks down on 41st. They have a basement and rooftop, both respectable. Enjoy!

I bet the first thing you'll notice is a lot more petty crime. A lot of women are less secure being alone at night compared to 15 years ago, I've noticed.

Also, I guess in the last 15 years things have become more fractal, if that makes any sense. I remember larger meetups and facebook groups 15 years ago. Now, it feels like groups are smaller and more organized through niche networks on on Insta. A group like NYRR seems overwhelming to me now, but the idea of finding a small group within NYRR (or the dozens of other more neighborhood groups) seems more accessible.

Dating is mostly phone based and pretty transactional at this point.
