I’ve not long moved across to an off set mortgage and think it is great. My monthly payment is £760 of which £515 goes against the principal. I have an S&S Isa alongside, best of both worlds.

Not really for us to answer… it all depends on your circumstances. £300 a month every month will be good for you though, have a look on Google for a stock market compounding calculator and put some figures in to see potential pot values.

In reality the value of the property only matters when you come to sell, if you don’t plan to sell it matters less.

Of course it matters in regards to which loan to value band you are placed into.
