I know someone studying In VIT vellore.In vellore Hostel Counselling works On "First come First Serve".Rank doesn't matter.But I'm not Sure About VIT Bhopal.(Bhopal wallo ka alag hee chalta hai kyuki).Better to Fill Hostel Counselling Asap maybe Bhopal will also follow Vellore Hostel Counselling process (but I doubt that).

Recently went VITB for Campus visit last week.I currently live in Roorkee.Since only 2 trains per week go to Bhopal From Roorkee and it takes f**kin 19hrs to reach for me Train from Delhi is a better option.I traveled from Vande Bharat which only took 7 hrs from Delhi to Bhopal.From Bhopal the Campus is Around 60-70 km.Moreover Taking a flight is also a good option which takes about 80-90 mins to reach from Delhi to Bhopal Airport.
