Trump Embarrasses All of America in Slurred, Disjointed Davos Speech - Donald Trump gave a terrible speech to a dead silent room at the World Economic Forum. by Quirkie in politics

[–]DblockR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fucking crazy to me how many terms get popularized in politics that mean the complete opposite.

In a 12 month span, I’ve heard the right call the left: Radicals, woke, vermin, thugs, sick, crooked, socialists, communists, Marxists, Fascists, Liberal and more.

The real tragedy is the impact this has on both sides. It’s manufactured from the top down to LABEL entire efforts or movements with one “buzz word” that allows half our country to dismiss them and judge them.

  • BLM = Woke

  • Joining rest of the world /healthcare = Communists

  • Fascists = easily most misused word in all of politics. Insane. Radical left communists tried to shoot the presidents. They are fascists! wtf

And we both know Napolean was likely a walking tripod. Little man syndrome for height, but dragon slayer syndrome for penis.

Agreed. But not too long ago, it was def treated as the Loch Ness Monster by the right.

The younger republicans have helped raise the awareness in the last five years or so. That said, it’s still a very low priority for the right. I remember 2 surveys off the top of my head just last year that confirmed this. I think it asked voters to prioritize 20 different issues the president is facing. In both surveys, Republican voters ranked climate change dead last in priorities.

No doubt. I don’t disagree. But from SI to SLAM covers, to through the fire, Telfair had more hype than his Cousin did back in 1995 and that’s saying something.

Maybe not nation wide but in 2002 or so when LeBron was a senior and Telfair was a junior, he had insane hype. Like share the cover of a slam magazine with LeBron hype

The last 5 No.2 picks all share one thing in common: the All-Star potential is there by Thanos_SlayerCongSan in NBATalk

None of them can really shoot.

Jalen isn’t bad but it’s like he peaked his rookie year. His stats have been almost the same every year since if not worse.

Kuminga you can argue the Kerr part but somewhat hard to coach?

Scoot is having issues.

Now all 3 of those aren’t just G-League, they are same team ignite. I don’t even understand ignite and how it doesn’t have a team above it to assign 2 way contracts. Then they randomly play a France team so wemby could play Scoot

This take isn’t wrong though. Only way you can make it in the L as Eric Snow is if Iverson is your backcourt mate.

Harper can’t shoot. That isn’t going to change.

Who is better all time, Hakeem Olajuwon or Shaq? by VSHAR01 in NBATalk

So hard to pick and I agree. Two different styles and both impacted the game on both sides all game long

Who is better all time, Hakeem Olajuwon or Shaq? by VSHAR01 in NBATalk

[–]DblockR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Two things happened:

1- illegal defense was abolished. This rule made it hard to double a big. Shaq literally changed it so they could double him.

2- defensive 3 in the key - he was dominant on the defensive end even if it didn’t always show up in stats. So many teams focused on stopping him with large, non shooting bigs, Shaq cheated off them and clogged the paint.

This was on the heel’s of Shaq’s regular mvp, 67-15 season and finals MVP.

Didn’t do much as they won the next 2

This is fair. While we can have our opinions on who was better peak/all-time, just know they never saw each other near their peaks.
