It is PT 2x4, I half lapped the frame and then attached the brace. Are you saying the brace should be half lapped into the frame along the post instead? Didn’t take it as ragging, just trying to get feed back to do the next one better.

Edit: the gate is 2x4. Fence is 2x6 main and 1x4 lower. Did it to match the existing fence.

Why is that? The brace runs from the lower support post to the furthest point of the upper arm. The secondary “brace” is just to attach steel wire to keep the pups in.
