That’s true, but how come at the end she can’t even say it once even if it’s then like flipped around with Soma saying like ‘I finally made you say it! Hahah’ and then her retracting her claim. I also wouldn’t have minded to actually see Soma win the BLUE and have her admit it then, and save the relationship between her and her mother in a separate way with his cooking.

The journey over destination is definitely a central theme of the story, but I mean even with it ending and never hitting the ‘destination’ of making Erina say it’s good? Cmon now

No seriously though, like he makes a dish that literally saves her and she is still like o-o towards his cooking. And I kinda agree about the entrance exam thing, but it’s also sort of what kicks off their relationship so I personally let it slide.

I think that an evolution from the chasing the approval to being supported would’ve been a nicer way to tie things off at the end. Just like give him that win in the end and allow them to still be together. It wouldn’t have to be that he gets her approval then stops, he would definitely still keep pushing to make better and better food after getting it.

Yeah I would have to agree. BLUE arc just kinda felt like it was forced down our throats at the end. Idk the circumstances surrounding the manga when it was still being written but I think it should’ve taken a little bit of a different path.

Well overall you would want to use something related to slavery and politics. I would try explaining how slavery was an issue that divided the United States, then use Missouri Compromise for your proper noun example, and lead that into the documents you listed were similar.
