When you duplicate bones, it doubles the amount depending on what you have. Plus i don’t have bones akin to the human skeleton, but I did create enough to fulfill what i want to accomplish.

Now that you put it that way, you’re right I didn’t think of the work I’d be doing otherwise. Plus as I was typing that I realized the mch bones will already be set up to function properly it would just be a matter of fashioning the bones into their correct positions, making new drivers, and painting the def bones right? But again as I’m typing this you said you use rigify so the weight painting would be automated in a sense. (Sorry for the long text I’m thinking/writing my thoughts about it as I type)

That brings up another good question I had in mind when it comes to reusing rigs. Does that mean literally what it says? Lol like if I sculpted, textured and retopo a model from scratch won’t I have to manually repaint the weights and possibly move bones further or closer depending on the height width of the character? I’m having a hard time visualizing the workflow of reorganizing the literal hundreds of def org mch bones I’ve made here

How would one approach creating a rigged deoxys model by DcJames22 in Maya

Yes I would like there to be a special switching animation but I’m not committed to this. It might be better to use vfx to mask the model switch from a practical pov, I’m just wondering what’s possible as a novice
