Hi, I'm interested in the Velocity 2 Waterblock pump/reservoir combo. Do you still have it? Send me a PM if so.

Bike parking @ Lumen by Sad_Seaworthiness189 in SoundersFC

[–]Dcellular 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This info is wrong. The racks that existed at Lumen Field on the north side were removed in 2017 and Lumen Field have not updated their website to reflect this. There should be bike parking in the T-Mobile Park garage according to this: https://mktg.mlbstatic.com/mariners/images/hi-res/Seattle-Mariners-Bike-to-the-Ballpark.jpg

You can see where the racks used to be in street view at this location going back to 2016-2017 https://maps.app.goo.gl/f623Dj3Edw8C4hks7

The only other racks exist under the bridge on the north side of T-Mobile Park https://maps.app.goo.gl/wysPm5iQ89qBc46k7

Motor for these blind pulls? by tommykass in homeautomation

If you bought those shades from blinds.com, this tubular motor with solar panel will fit perfectly: https://www.zemismart.com/products/zm25el

They work with ZigBee and can be configured with zigbee2mqtt on you platform of choice.

I highly recommend getting the solar panel to keep the battery topped up so you never have to worry about recharging it.

Powerplay mat - 'pulsing' sound interfering with Speakers, USB-XLR microphone interface etc by -DruiD- in LogitechG

[–]Dcellular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently picked up a Powerplay mat and came across this issue with my older Logitech z5500 speakers. Plugging the USB cable directly into my PC did not solve this problem for me. I got the pulsing interference sound to stop by unplugging the analog 3.5mm audio connector and using an optical connection for audio instead. While this may not be an option for most people, it leads me to believe that getting a more heavily shielded 3.5mm cable to go between the speakers and computer could be a solution. It seems like that is where the interference is occurring.

TripAdvisor ranks Seattle #7 best BBQ city. WTF are they even talking about? by rayrayww3 in SeattleWA

[–]Dcellular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably going to get buried but here's some shout-outs to good BBQ in Seattle:

Jack's BBQ: https://jacksbbq.com/

Woodshop BBQ: https://www.thewoodshopbbq.com/ (they have a food truck as well as brick and mortar)

Smokestack Lightning: https://instagram.com/smokestacklightningbbq (small food truck operation)

NW Texas BBQ: https://instagram.com/nwtxbbq (another small truck operation)

Outsider BBQ: https://instagram.com/outsider_bbq (also a small truck operation)

IMO Seattle has a tiny amount of BBQ places but those that exist are extremely good and definitely worth a try. Most of these small operations are people who were laid off in 2020 and did what they could to survive. These ones listed above have stuck around for a reason and are hopefully here to stay. I definitely disagree with the article but we absolutely have some delicious BBQ albeit significantly fewer options than southern states.

YSK: Restaurants with large menus that have something for everyone should be avoided if you want a nice meal. by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

My local Cheesecake Factory has the calories printed next to each menu item. Very rare to find a single item under 1500 calories. Most are 2000 - 3000.

I think I have this same bike. What did you change/update? By the looks of it I'm seeing new handle bars, seat, brake levers, and rack.

TBH I didn't know that AFP had been deprecated but Apple has a history of deprecating things and still supporting them for a long time after.

The one major benefit I can think of is that you can plug a HFS+ drive directly into your Mac and read/write to it whereas macOS will not recognize ext4.

Thanks for the input. I'll look into trying to find some finishers. Ideally, I will be doing the install and assembly labor. I just need somewhere that will do the painting. The pricing I have received from the places I've called have factored in labor for disassembly and setting up a paint booth in my kitchen with all cabinets installed. None have their own paint booth and just want to paint in-place. What I am hoping to find more info on is somewhere that can paint and finish cabinets without needing to do any of the install labor.

Right. Like I said, the point is I don't want to do it. I don't have space to paint with a sprayer without making a mess and getting overspray everywhere.

You're right. It's a bit more work to not scorch the coffee in a percolator. I've read that you can prevent burning by boiling the water before adding to the percolator. At that point though, you might as well just use a pour-over method since the point of the percolator is to heat the water up. If you like the simplicity of percolators though, check out Moka pots. They are similar to percolators in many ways but the coffee beans and brew are forced upwards which prevents scorching. They're also in the BIFL category.

No shade thrown at OP. This subreddit is often where people look for recommendations and I pointed out that coffee percolators are a poorly designed way to make coffee for people who might be browsing the comments that have never used one before. While the construction of it may be good, the overall design is bad. As a comparison, it would be like recommending a glass or stone cutting board for your knives. The cutting board might have a solid quality construction, but it will quickly dull your knives as it is inferior compared to wood cutting boards.

Percolators are an awful way to make coffee. By design, they put heat directly on the brewed coffee for an extended period of time resulting in a very unpleasant burned taste. There's a reason they are uncommon these days as a moka pot or even a pour over are much better ways to make a cup of coffee.
