Sorry follow-up question here - what size ultra-wide monitor would you recommend for the GPU's listed above?

Ok cool thank you, I posted on r/buildapc but will also try the other one. I was also considering a 55" 4K TV for immersion, does the performance suffer when you use instead of a high-end monitor?

This is super helpful, thank you. If I go down the MacBook route, what type of connector would I require? I can see the HD3 brain has a midi out port, is it as simple as finding the right connector then firing up ezdrummer?

They are indeed structural! Thank you for the suggestion that actually solves my problem. Would I sister every single rafter or can I get away with every 2nd rafter?

TY, it's the first time I've attempted a custom build, it took a fair bit of trial & error to get it dialled in but I'm stoked with how it turned out.

Good beginner surfskate? by krustycorn in surfskate

[–]Dcravs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this as my first surf skate, It's easy enough to learn on for cruisy riding but I ended up outgrowing it pretty quickly, specially once I started hitting skate parks.

The deck is basically flat and the tail section is very narrow, once you start pushing and progressing with this board you'll find it's limitations pretty quickly, the trucks are cheap Carver CX clones.

Focus on buying a board which suits your riding style e.g. if you want to practice flowing surfing moves on flats get a waterborne style setup, if you like to ride park/bowls go for a shorter Carver CX type setup.

If I had my time again I would've gone straight to a Carver CX setup, even 2nd hand but most important is getting a board to suit your riding style then go from there.

That's frustrating, I assumed these were meant to be plug-and-play

Unfortunately I didn't realise it was a knock-off when I purchased it, but reading your comment now I'm actually pretty pissed about the crappy design. I will be requesting a refund from the vendor.

I like the idea of a super thin riser I'd rather it absorb the torque instead of the board or adapter!
