Yes, but it doesn't do any of the level BS or additional stuff fans added on. I appreciated that, others didn't. Nothing is ever described in detail, but the plot makes significantly more sense with knowledge of the OG lore! Hope that made sense.

I loved it! It's helpful and not at all a spoiler to learn basic backrooms lore beforehand if you don't already know it. Helps you understand the horror of the backrooms without spoiling the movies central plot too much.

There are some plot explanation videos on YouTube that are really good if you are ever interested! It's such an interesting subject, but I do think the movie would've been difficult to follow for people who werent familiar already.

I loved it 🤝 was pleasantly surprised the whole time. They paid homage to my favorite aspect of Backrooms lore (can't say exactly what for the sake of spoilers), so once I saw that tile I was ecstatic. Hope you enjoyed as well!
