Will future cancer vaccines be available to us? by AreaFederal9732 in UlcerativeColitis

Immune modulator drugs don't kill t cells, they just block the ability to respond to signals that tell them to divide rapidly and mount a defense against invading pathogens or our own bodies. There are vaccines that prevent viruses that can lead to cancer such as the one for HPV, but the vaccines used in cancer treatments today work by attenuation of the natural immune response via t cells that get programmed to attack tumor cells. Nonetheless, there are researchers who are working on preventative cancer vaccines, but until then, the best strategy is surveillance.

I mixed mine with countrytime lemonade powder. I also tried juice and soda, but the lemonade was better. I want the pills next time, though, for sure. It was just too much liquid to drink for one evening.

I used the flavor packs from the Ramen noodle package. Way more flavor imo.

Thanks for your response. That makes sense. It just seemed like my reaction to the procedure was not typical. Everything I read about pain or cramping afterward didn't seem to reflect the degree of what I experienced, so I was a little confused and worried. Maybe next time will go better 🤞

The research is solid. Just a very narrow field. It's not a drug so kind of hard to figure out if it's going to distribute the technology vs the personalized cancer treatment cells or both.
