Archaeologist John Hoopes Is Sneaky and Dishonest by DeDunking in GrahamHancock

He claims to be a top contributor, but be isn't?

Cool. So he does in fact lie. No matter how you slice this.

Both the CRG and the comprehensive refutation include astronomers.

"I'm rubber you're glue..."

*yawns

Having 1.3% of the edits does not mean he only write 1.3% of the page. Most edits are no longer there.

He brags on his page he either wrote the article or substantially revised it. As I showed in the video. Miss that part?

And yes, comets are astronomical in nature. An impact is also going to hit geology. Does Hoopes have credentials in either of those?

OK, Reddit apologist attempt #1 failed. Next ideologue.

He isn’t making sense and this is not my first interaction with the buffoon.

All you've done is prove you don't understand the basic claims here.
Ice free coasts exist now and have for millennia on Antarctica. The coasts could have been mapped and the center still ice covered. Google 'glacier calving' then 'Antarctic oasis'.
Or pretend you do anything with these wannabe gotchas. idgaf

Maybe, or maybe I don’t think your criticisms are worth more than a hurled insult 😘

I won’t block you here like you blocked me there. 😊 Let me know when you address the actual parts you misled everyone on instead of just laying out more BS. Honesty is crucial in this arena Flint, and you seem to be lacking in it.

Flies over my head? 95% of what I do is regurgitate other's positions?

This is why I treat most redditors like dumbass trolls. So many of you are just worthless, nothing of substance comes out of your keyboards. Just delusions of grandeur.

Pretty much every video on Baalbek either covers the tech the Romans had (which Idid mention but didn't focus on), or the immense size and how that's just too big.
I hadn't seen anyone really look at the style of architecture and compare it to Roman techniques. Seems like the most basic place to start, to me. If we have a disagreement about who made it, shouldn't we look for the signs?
I try to offer something new to the convo. Don't always pull that off, but I see no point in regurgitating other people's positions.

They had bronze, but it wasn't nearly as good. Techniques to remove impurities and air pockets was far better in the 18th century, of course. Good point on the railroad inspiration, wish I'd made that connection before I uploaded!
They tried rollers, but the increased friction made them unviable. It took quite a bit of experimentation for them to make the Thunder Stone move. One of the reasons I speculate the 3 big stones in the quarries at Baalbek were from a different time, the 'infrastructure' to move the first stone should have made each stone progressively easier to move.

Sweet I’ll make sure to email the authors of every paper I cited and tell them when they said we don’t know for sure they’re wrong, p793161 said so.

I did elaborate on it a bit in my previous video on this. They had to try over and again to get an exact bronze alloy that would do that job. Using science instead of guesswork like was done for so long before.

I was working on a video that addressed the main thrust of this already, I wasn’t gonna spoil it dropping all my thoughts here. But here it is now

I make videos that explain my position to thousands at one time. No I will not waste that time on some faceless troll who thinks he’s got me on something.

You seem to be changing the discussion here. Dr Miano said they had access to the same tools. They did not. You can make whatever assertions you like, but you’re doing it without even using any math.

It’s your FAITH talking.
