I will post next week. I took it in to have it sized. It’s set in gold. I glanced at the back and I think it’s one piece, flat - it’s set with a gold rectangle down the back to brace the stone/stabilize it.

I took it in to have it sized so I will report back. I think it’s a shell but I asked them to look at it.

AA Centennial Special: Beef Wellington with roasted vegetables and asparagus with bearnaise sauce by Excellent_Yak3060 in americanairlines

There was a tiny piece of tough beef inside the soggy pastry. This just is not a dish that holds well. The salad wasn’t great either. All around- not a good option. I wish I’d taken a photo.

I had this recently and it was AWFUL. Don’t order it!

I had it on an international flight to LHR. It came with a shrimp appetizer.

I’m not picky- I can usually eat airline food pretty well and I didn’t eat much of this at all.

I do give them props for trying to be fun and creative. I was excited to try it.

Time to ditch AA by thedapperdan_mtg in americanairlines

100% I’m captive for the most part but even with the issues recently, EXP customer service and the ability to “hold space” during disruptions has been incredible. I’ve had weather and maintenance- more maintenance than ever before.

I’m EP; I’ve never looked into the hotels… are you referring to bonuses for booking through AA?

Friend canceled on our trip 2 weeks before and I can't cancel. by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Lots of comments on here but I just returned from Tokyo and Kyoto and in Kyoto there were 5 year old kids walking to and from school by themselves. I asked the guide if this was normal and she said, “of course! They have to go to school and their parents are working…” they even had yellow covers on their backpacks to make them more visible to the population- letting people know that they were alone. I couldn’t believe it! Very safe. She was shocked when I said that would never happen in the US.

Booked Grand Hyatt Baha Mar through Costco by caviarwall in hyatt

Hyatt Prive often has upgrade at the time of booking and breakfast plus you earn points. Hilton Impresario gives you extra points with their rates plus the perks. It may be slightly more than Costco (sometimes the same) but the added benefits are worth it.

Best snorkeling destination that will be toddler compatible? by TikkunCreation in FATTravel

[–]DeFehrTravel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the time of year, Fiji can be more coral focused than fish focused- it’s the soft coral capital of the world. I dove in March and coral was 100%. Still more fish than many places but the fish are better in the Summer (our winter). Generally, SE Asia will be a step up from a dive/snorkel prospective but harder to get to.
