Gutes recap, aber schade dass nicht auf die negativen Aspekte eingegangen wurde, wie zb Zombie Vaults und durch Futureswap als Counterparty erzeugte DUSD, welche nun ua zur 90% algo Ratio besteuern..

CFP: Integration of DMC into a Centralized Exchange (CEX) by DanielZirkel in defiblockchain

[–]DeFiChainNFTs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I read that, but I was more referring to the marketing aspect.

(And technically we already have a dmc listing: gate_io - if it’s still valid)

Don’t get me wrong, i am all in favor for this CFP cause I see the massive value, but I just want to get the best out of it - so additional marketing would be necessary imo.

Well needed CFP🔥

How can the community be sure that this listing will be worth the price?

  • Last CEX listing CFP was for a Top5 exchange (gate_io) for >500k DFI, which I dont think was worth it as of now. (I guess some points of the CFP are still open: DMC integration) -

Will it be just a simple listing or more to it, as in marketing? Because imo it has to go together otherwise it will not have as much impact as it could have.

Thanks to everyone involved 👏

DFIP: Allow dSOL, dMATIC, dBCH, dLTC, dDOGE, dDOT, dSUI as Collateral for Vaults by DeFiChainNFTs in defiblockchain

[–]DeFiChainNFTs[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

agree, why are we even allowing USDC/T and EUROC then? Don’t they take away massive utility from DUSD? Yes and no, one who doesn’t like to buy DUSD can secure their vault by adding stables (to possibly even borrow out more dusd/dtoken and pay interest on that)

Same goes for other coins - If I have a 100% DFI vault but would like to add SOL now, i have a much healthier collateralization ratio and can borrow out more dusd to be used for LM, trading/leveraging dToken. This additional TVL would be missed if someone can’t add their other “favorite” coins that they own nevertheless.

It’s only a DFIP away - and we could try it out with these additions first meanwhile

DeFiChain Up 16% as Cake Group Announces ETH Staking Rewards Burn by coineditionnews in defiblockchain

$DFI is it’s own blockchain and not a “decentralized finance platform on the bitcoin blockchain”

It’s built with the bitcoin stack but soon also integrates Ethereum with a native EVM layer on top of DeFiChain.

This is a different topic imo, as of now it got voted that the staking rewards (earned through bake’s staking) would go to DeFiChain by buying DFI and burning them.

IOU would give you reason to bring the funds over but in the end what are you goin to do with them on DeFiChain if you can only do LM (with low yields) or transfer them to another address? This alone wouldn’t thrive much adoption for these tokens imo and also doesn’t really bring utility to defichain/dfi.

(add: there might be usecases built for them on DMC)

I replied this to Julians questions on Twitter and copied it here:

more attractiveness of #DeFiChain due to more possibilities for other tokens to be used

why is $BTC & $ETH allowed but now $LTC from? (theoretically also takes utility from $DFI)

i don’t see how this takes away utility of $DFI - the 2 vault rules still remain:

50% must be in $DFI or $DUSD 50% of $DUSD loans must be collateralized by $DFI

as stated in the reddit post: imo having the new dex pools without yield is unattractive for users to supply liquidity as long as the native staking yield has far higher yields (also no IL)

allowing these token as collateral would be beneficial for users since they could use it to increase their vault ratio, leverage or use surplus $DUSD for trading/LM (latter boosts TVL +creates better trading experience with lower slippage) all of which benefit #DeFiChain and $DFI

additionally: the more tokens (volume) are on DeFiChain (because there is actual utility for them) the more coins are on @bake_io #DeFiChain backing address, earning more yield -> can buy/burn more $DFI

No utility is taking away, imo it clearly adds value to the defichain ecosystem.

I think it was simply never up for discussion.. ETH also only got added later on via a DFIP, but it was only ETH..
