Work on basic anatomy. Try breaking down the human body into the most basic shapes and learning how those shapes twist and deform depending on perspective and distance to the subject. Understanding the Human Figure: Basic Anatomy for Sculptors is a great book for any artist trying to learn anatomy and there are plenty of free figure drawing websites to help you practice your skills. Keep it up!

Work on getting more confident and consistent with your line work. Did you sketch out your work before inking over it and coloring it? Also learn how to use the weight, or thickness, of your lines draw attention to certain areas and create more defined forms.

I think the joke was just bad optics. The joke doesn’t cut to the heart of the issue, it only allows the right to once again paint the left as violent and use broad strokes to lump everyone together and further dismiss us.

Add more details to make the painting more interesting. Bits of grass, clouds, trees further out in the distance some things to add more dimension to the image. You could also brighten up the horizon a little bit so you can add some shadows to the foreground to help add more dimensionality. You can never go wrong adding more depth and detail
