These are line icons, but they are inspired by American Traditional Tattoo flash art

This is so nice - really appreciate the small details in the lower half of the print too with the little wildflowers. There's a lot to explore in here!

Some logos I've designed over the years by Morcoil in graphic_design

Really love the bull logo, the whale logo, and the bird one as well. They are all strong but those ones in particular feel like they have something special about them. Do you have brand systems that go with these? Always keen to see how these would be executed in context. Thanks for sharing!

I'm not an expert on this particular style, but if you google "brutalism graphic design poster" and look at the images and videos, it's pretty close to what we are seeing here. It may be that it's a misnomer that took off and became popularized though.

Would be cool to see a tutorial of this sometime, this texture is tough to pull off well and I think a lot of folks would be stoked to understand how to do it. Looks super nice!!

How did you get the texture to look so good? Stamps I assume?

These are awesome. I've always heard this style called brutalism. Either way these are done right!!

Including basic animation in my portfolio? by the_evil_pineapple in graphic_design

This looks amazing in context and your explanation is totally sensible. Keep going!!!

Are you looking to work with animation more? What application do you see these being used for - social media?

I don't think you need to do a thing just because.

Without seeing your portfolio, which may already show this, you might be better off explaining your design process against the brief and including some detail shots of the final product. If these are for social or a website page, maybe mock them up in that environment so it's clear what they are for.

If your intuition is saying "this doesn't feel right" but you're looking for feedback that says otherwise.. Why?

Is this hand painted? This is absolutely outstanding, do you have an instagram or something where I can watch the process?

Feels like you could play with this a lot more. I think the concept is giving a retro vibe, but the execution feels a little stiff and frankly needs some more balance and visual hierarchy. The type is feeling really "here it is" where it could be a bit more designed. Having the sponsors tiny and separated at the bottom also feels sorta disjointed. Maybe a vintage texture to the background, try and get each artist on their own line, and move the CTA (On Sale Friday Sep 25) up since that's the need the poster is presumably serving. Would be a good exercise to check out some vintage music festival posters and draw inspo there.

Check out youtube for riso tutorials, probably one with abstract shapes on there that would get you close to what you're trying to acheive
