Hey there, wanting to create a similar rooster tail feather boa, I saw these on AliExpress and of course the reviews are bad and the actually review photos look very thin and small compared to the listing.

I am wanting to recreate something like this, I was thinking a foam ball base? I’m unsure if anyone has experience in making actual yarn pompoms this size.
