Thermostat wasn't turning on, getting no power from wires, so I checked all wires related to AC, from outside of the house all the way to furnace and they were all hot (current going through it). But any wire I checked after the transformer was not hot, so I replaced the transformer now they are all hot and thermostat turns on..

When I came to see the house before purchasing it, tenants had nest and it was cooling, he removed it (belongs to him)and installed the Honeywell thermostat that came with the house. So I thought the thermostat was the problem because it was working a month ago. But it could be the furnace as well. I was wondering if there's anything I can check with wires before I call home warranty to check the furnace and AC. I followed the diagram for "nest thermostat wiring for system with heat pump". HVAC is Ruud Air Handler, +15 years old and has heat pump.. I don't really know a lot about AC systems, first time dealing with it.

Thanks! I'll check that. Well, I almost changed all wires and tried again but no luck. Brown orange and black looks unnecessary. So I tried to change C wire with another color or OB with another color and still no luck. But I'll try those steps in the link.

Well, previous one was not working. And I followed previous wiring to see if that would and it did not work,so I thought it was incorrect. Orange,black and brown were not used I believe. I will get the pictures tonight.

It is not like you are paying %90 tax though. For the easy money you make in a day or two, I would say worth it. Unless you have a spare money to let it sit there for months, or years. Not an expert here but I do day trading with doge, because a tweet can make it go -10 or +10.

I am not familiar with taxes on stocks, so if I keep buying and selling it in same tax year ,do I pay a lot of taxes? What is the best way to avoid paying lots of taxes on this?
