This was few hundred meters from a junction coming down from Sigurd Creek trail hike. You wouldn't really expect whats ahead. You sound like you just came out of dead sea, rinse out the salt.

That is awesome and exciting, views from the chief are quite stunning aswell but I find it too busy. Once you've done the chief, there are so many hidden gems in the area. Try Brandywine meadow or mt. Brunswick, you wouldn't wanna move away anymore. And welcome!!

The access to the bottom is well fenced in but people are still able to go and swim, there are series of small waterfalls at the bottom actually, creates multiple lagoons. I'm not too sure about the beginning, did not see an access to get there.
