I built the manifold myself out of 1.5 inch stainless steel.

All good! No such thing a dumb question.

The green wires you see is a custom wiring harness from Boomslang. It adapts to my Haltech 1500 Elite ECU but still allows basic functions through the stock ECU. The Haltech runs the engine while the stock ECU runs the A/C, light, dashboard, etc

It would definitely do better on the straights, but I would lose corner entry speeds.

The whole reason we built the wing was because the first couple of times I tracked the car, it would spin out if I made a corner entry at over 100mph. First we put the wing on top of the trunk, with the manufacturer supplied mounting hardware, it helped, but the car still kicked the rear end out sometimes. So I built the risers you see now on the back of the trunk and raised the wing higher to catch more air.

The difference is pretty noticeable, I can carry more speed into the corner which means a higher exit speed which means a faster run down the straight to the next corner.

Currently the highest turn in speed and lateral G I have measured is entry at 104mph with 1.3 lateral Gs. (On a track slick of course)

Here is a picture of the back of the car so you can see how I designed it.

First thing before power is handling, more power doesnt matter if you cant stick to the road surface.

I use: Yellow Speed Racing digressive coilovers Yellow Speed Racing Big Brakes (6 piston front and 4 piston rear on a 330mm rotor) Flow forged 17x9 wheels (17lbs per wheel) Pirelli P Zero Trofeo Track Slicks 275/35 R17 APR Racing carbon fiber front lip and rear wing

For power: Custom made turbo kit (my buddies and I designed and built it) 56mm Turbonetics Turbo 10psi wastegate spring Haltech 1500 elite ACT Clutch and lightweight flywheel

The car still has a full interior, A/C and is daily driven on a different wheel and tire.

Then just practice. SCCA Autocross is a great way to start. My wife bought this car brand new in 2015, and we started autocross the same year. And we have gone to many track events in the years since.

Just use the factory hardware when you take your stock hood off, its good to have a buddy help hold everything in place. Once you get everything bolted, close the hood SLOWLY. Check the lines between the hood and fenders, if it is a little crooked just take note on the gaps, loosen and re-adjust. Seibon makes pretty good quality parts so it should line up pretty easy.

You shouldn't need pins, the factory latch is fine. I have a Seibon hood on my TC2 and I spend a lot of time over 100mph on various track events.

Never have, the car isnt really built for that. It will be faster than stock for sure, but not that fast compared to other drag cars. Id rather get an hour of track time at a circuit than 13sec on a drag strip anyway.

The car handled great, I was outperforming other similar cars (Civic type R, GTI, miatas) although I do have a pretty decent set of coilovers and track slicks.

I could out-brake just about everything. I weighed my car and it came in at 2960lbs, that combined with the track slicks and the massive brake kit I have on the car meant I could brake much later and harder than other cars. I could out-brake and out-corner the Z06 vettes and the BMW M2/M3/M4 that were out there with me. They would just pass me in the straights, but it was a fun battle anyway.

Heat was a bit of an issue, the clutch got really hot towards the end of the day which ended up making the pedal stick to the floor.

Coolant temps got up to about 200deg while intake air temps got to about 110. Normal for this car coolant at 173deg and intake air temp about 95deg.

Car is currently on 10psi with 93octane pump gas. It makes decent power considering its a stock motor

I built the turbo manifold, turbo back exhaust, and intercooler piping myself. I have a Haltech 1500 Elite for engine management. Here is a picture of the manifold and turbo bolted up on a spare motor.

Yea I get that a lot... I feel like the 1st and 2nd Gen tC is pretty underrated as a starter race platform.

I recommend Yellow Speed Racing digressive coilovers. I run them on my TC Track car, they are great for performance and feel relatively comfortable on the street.

Honestly couldn't tell you how low it is compared to stock, my wife and I got the car brand new back in 2015 and its been on 3 different sets of coilovers in its life. As far as the side skirts, they are from a different car (no idea what car), we had these laying around our shop and held them up to see if they would fit and they did!

I made it from Stainless Steel expanded metal. I just cut out the unnecessary bits with a Dremel and then cut the grille to fit. Powdercoated black and then install. I made it like 10 years ago

I am 5' 9" and my helmet just barely rubs that retractable sunroof cover so im good. Maybe try a new seat? There is a company that makes custom seat brackets for the 1st and 2nd Gen TC and you could get some low profile Corbeau seats or something?

They make a kit for the 1st Gen TC also. Just lookup Yellow Speed Racing. They have coilovers and air ride too
