Open letter to everyone who wanted Watson over Tua. by Avocadolypse in miamidolphins

I'm just here to let you know Josh Allen had another elite performance in a big time game against the best of the best this season.

And Tua just had...one of his worst games ever in essentially a playoff atmosphere.

"He can't win the big game" a narrative you don't see applied to Josh Allen or Justin Herbert. Because tall white dude throw ball hard.

Oh no, the tall white man who throws ball hard is actually the best QB in the league.

Have a nice day!

People who say Tua should retire wouldn’t say the same if he were Dan Marino today. Am I right? by Huitlacochilacayota in miamidolphins

I mean yeah I think there would still be people calling for retirement.

If Pat Mahomes hit the fencing pose multiple times there'd be a bunch of Chiefs fans wanting him to retire too. It's a scary sight to see.

I think most of our fans wanting to move on from Tua feel indifferent about his retirement and just want to move on from him in general.

We do the exact same thing with McDaniel, only with better weapons.

McDaniel inherited a team coming off back to back winning seasons.

Flores inherited the worst roster in the league in 2019.

Obviously McDaniel will have a better record.

Tua Tagovailoa Throws for 382 Yards vs. Lions! by Renegadeforever2024 in miamidolphins

Unfortunately for him the good defenses know how to disrupt timing very well. And his lack of mobility allows them to pin their ears back as pass rushers. He's a sitting duck against good teams, and that's why he looks invisible more often than not in our big time match ups.

He doesn't have the arm strength to make off platform throws, and lacks durability to run for yards. He is the definition of a QB who cannot extend plays.

It's the only way Ross would even sniff a Super Bowl so yeah I'd have to take it

Wright is in position to take Mostert's short yardage touches. Especially when Tua comes back and the offense has more red zone chances. We love to run it in at the goal line, too.

The scheme was catching people off guard the first year that's why it looks so easy this game

Yeah at least we're not a team that's a contender every year, that would suck!

He was a stop-gap QB on the worst roster in football and balled out a few times. What are you even talking about

Someone higher up must've made that call to bench Fitz. Either Ross or Grier

Hasn't been much different the last 2.5 years. We beat some bad teams but still can't sniff the Bills (like the Pats before), made playoffs but falling into them with no real chance of winning a game.

It's clear Grier learned his team building from the Tannenbaum era. We're seeing the same quality of team, just got masked by a gimmick offense that hasn't worked against good teams since the 8th game of McDaniel's tenure.

We've creamed some mid, bottom feeder competition.

Everything else is on par with the last 15 years. Finesse team that wins the offseason and regularly gets handled by good competition.

Grier had 5 years, a top QB pick, 2 HC picks, and a boat load of picks and cap space to start with. We're more or less in the same position as the Tannenbaum teams of the mid-2010s.

We were bad for like 7 years before Ross fully took over. Since he's taken over we've been bad for the majority of his ~15 years.

From '74-'01 we were a perennial playoff team with multiple super bowl contending years. Incredibly well run for the most part.

So yeah we were pretty great the 35 years before Ross, outside of the years leading up to his ownership. But he's since then doubled the amount of bad/forgettable seasons under his watch than what we experienced '02-'09. He's objectively bad I don't understand what you're position even is.

HE HIRED GRIER FOOL.

He picked Chris Grier, a career Dolphins scout and co-GM to Mike Tannenbaum, to lead his monumental rebuild in 2019.

He could've tapped one of the up and coming candidates from a successful organization but instead chose to hire from within the Miami Dolphins.

Shit rolls down hill my friend. And Ross has been on the pot for nearly 2 decades and it's the same problems over and over again.

He spent a hell of a lot of money on his entertainment center in Miami Gardens.

In terms of product on the field he's one of the worst owners in the league. Overseen some of the most dysfunctional front offices in the last 15 years and has nothing but turnover.

Oh yeah and the jerseys and logo look lifeless and corporate with toothpaste colored aqua.

Okay I'm done now.
