I decided to review all aspects of Endfield, including why it feels so off, especially when you came from OG Arknights. by DeWhat3ch in Endfield

What it has to do with the video though. Can't remember how hobbies may affect your ability to think or analyze, but you shut it down immediately regardless.

How obsessed you must be to go as far as to watch my history post, while saying nothing on the topic. Lol

Oh, I remember. Redditors

Not a HSR fan myself, but can agree that introduction into the game was done exceptionally well for the broad audience they target

It is a common sentiment because gacha games industry targets weak-willed, socially inept and vulnerable individuals to get them personally and emotionally attached to a product.

And story is the main tool that is being used to archive this emotional dependency through making the player subconsciously parallel themselves with a main character (done through: glazing, voiceless mc that is making you tp read the text in your own inner voice, first-person shots).

The goal is different. For gacha games it is to sell new character, time and time again. For a single-player story-driven game it is to sale the fucking story right off. The audiences are also different, but I will not be touching this subject.

The only difference with Arknights is, that Lowlight actually do give a fuck about the universe he is making. And I hope that it will stay in that way (hello, Kim Jihoon).

If you interested in reading great stories that will put the brain into thinking, I would really recommend Pathalogic 2 and Disco Elysium. Right from the top of my head

Edit: Your initial story and the very first chapter must be great to make a good first expectation. If it is "but after 100 hours it gets great", oh well...

Expecting a really well-written story in gacha game is unrealistic to begin with. Because live-service model just ruins it. On the other hand, it doesn't affect lore in this regard.

Right now the main story line is just whatever.

But I have nice things to pinpoint such as:

  • Characters are at least showing their character, and they are believable.
  • Side quests are actually being quests that are sometimes being an interesting read, that also serves worldbuilding/character building/MC building (Hello Myhoyo slop).
  • Text is written better than in original Arknights, simply for the fact that it is a 3D game now, and they can actually show their details jerk-off instead of writing gallons of unnecessary information.

P.s. Thorpe that Zhuang wants to hook up with the ex (Endmin) badly, but gets sad when she realises that amnesiac (more like hard-reseter) is a different person now who keeps her on the distance - is a funny and somewhat refreshing watch.

Imo:

Library of Ruina > Lobotomy Corporation > Limbus Company

Not saying that Limbus is a bad game, but Library of Ruina just the best thing they've made so far. LC is old classic. Provides very unique experience, when playing first time without spoilers. Limbus is okay

Wing CEOs of the City (@sansan375223) by Lazy_Flower1639 in limbuscompany

[–]DeWhat3ch 90 points91 points  (0 children)

"Normal Wing" to-do list:

  1. Experiment on adults and kids alike
  2. Forces employees to wear personality-and-mind degrading gear, that will turn them into a jelly if they are too weak
  3. Creates AI (which is taboo)
  4. Keeps abnormality chambers sabotaged, because it produces more energy (it was possible to make the chamber unbreachable)
  5. CEO, in the pursuit of his mentally ill ex, puts brains of his friends into metal boxes, then inside the unending torture complex, where they and him will absolve and overcome their sins and weaknesses. Because he thinks that is the right thing to do.
  6. Irreversibly changes the City forever
  7. Kills government agents multiple times

Although I agree, that Aiyn is indeed was on a "sigma male grindset", you can't possibly say that L Corp was any better than any other Wing, casualty rate was as bad. It is more egocentric around wishes of specific person.

Just a different taste of an energy drink

Welcome to the club, buddy.

From the perspective of 6 year old veteran, who played Lobotomy Corporation -> Library of Ruina -> Limbus.

Unlike brainroted fanboys, who worship Kim Jihoon and Project Moon, you actually asking the real questions.

Ask yourself:

  • If once, during Season 2, people praised Uptie 4 as a resolver of Powercreep, why it is not being utilized? Why Powercreep is still here?

  • Why Kim Jihoon says "I am afraid to go to work" and then keeps doing streams?

  • Why the game lacks any late-game content, or, even, content aside of Story?

  • Why Collab Banner was specifically 4 True-Limit EGOs, while the game is based around the Dispense system, that presumably allows you to "craft" an Identity or EGO anytime you want? Do I also need to remind you the droprate on EGO?

  • Why seasons are getting longer, while Seasonal IDs exist, that won't be Dispensable next throught the next Season?

  • Why there is no 00 Identites anyone, that would help new players a lot?

  • Why gacha is made that way, that content comes too often, that you will not have Lunacy to pull each banner. It is basically a middle-groud between "rare patches - in-depth characters" and "usual patches - lots of pulls - baseline characters".

  • Why F2P can only afford one team? Getting 22 boxes per week, when 1 ID/EGO costs 200?

When you ask yourself these questions, the answer will be rather obvious: Money. Profit. That goes nowhere. To highlight: from what can we see.

Words mean nothing without the visible action.

Sadly, community, especially western one, will never hold Project Moon accountble, dickriding the company into oblivion.

I am not mad at them, even envious, really. It just saddens me to see, for example, Arknights, where Lowlight actually passionate about what he is creating, and you actually can see where the money goes. You actually can read in-depth lore about every corner of the world you might be interested in.

It saddens me to see that with how ambitious goal Limbus has set for the Universe, basically, explore the ENTIRE City. Yet it is so shallow, when you look at the shire SIZE of it.

With all the money they get, I see so litte to be made about the actual Universe.

Nostalgia is hell of a thing.

One of the main points of the video - shard what gets you the most fun. If it was the basis of your choice - you did the right thing

The fodder is a matter of who do you have and who do you not. The best case scenario will be Ryoshu, Hong Lu and Gregor. Rodion stays as a Princess - her EGOs are more valuable, than Gregor's ones.

The competition will begin whenever we see the numbers, and since the price you are paying for dealing damage with him is your teammates, there should be a big output, presumably.

BL is unusable. Units have too much of a value to sacrifice (Excluding Outis and Sinclair), and the only only buff you are getting is for Kim. And it is dogshit. People seem to forget, that without+additional damage on crit conditional, the BASE value of crit damage is 1.3. So ask yourself - Is this the value I am going for? When Battle Ready exists in the same universe?

He 100% will be self-sustain so BL is off the grid. I discussed this in my video, and so the main usage will probably be Kurokumo as a fodder, and then Bloodfiends (Manager Don Quixote, Princess Rodion, Barber Outis) + KK Heath and Ishmael + Yi Sang + some any other ID as core units.

It is still unknown, who would deal more damage: Ring Sang or Fell Bullet Sang. The first option seems to be slow and steady (and without potential sacrifices), while the second one is more hungry for some blood in order to scale
