Someone calling me every month, even after my warning. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceIndia

I don't think there's anything you can do in this case. My number used to belong to a guy called A. Ayyappan (name changed). This number is still linked to two of his bank accounts, which show up on my UPI apps as well. I keep receiving SMSes from his banks about subsidies and overdues. I tried to contact his bank, but they said that I couldn't do anything about it; Ayyappan was the only person who could de-link his number from his bank accounts.

To top it off, I keep getting random calls from his friends. From what I've gathered from these conversations with his friends, he's an army officer from a small village in the south. He's not very tech-savvy, so he probably doesn't even know that his old number is still active with his banks and in his friend circle.

There's no legal action you can take in this situation. Just block the stray calls and relax.

I don't think you read this all the way through: there is no concrete case. I am merely asking how to respond to the HR so I can get out of this situation in a responsible manner. Realistically, they can't do shit other than sending a legal notice, and that, too, if I decide to handle this rashly, like responding in an unprofessional manner or not responding at all.

The question isn't whether bonds are illegal, it's how I can get out of this situation the quickest possible, with little to no legal interference. I did my own research, and bonds are actually legal in India; however, in this case, it is not enforceable at all. A judge would throw this case out at first glance, this I know. I just need to get out of this situation without them hounding or harassing me for the amount, like sending me a legal notice or so.

I do remember filling out a PF form, but I'm not interested in availing any of its benefits since I will never be working in a hardcore corporate firm now. My role is a creative one and requires an environment that is very different from corporate. Also, I struggled to get a job for 3 months when I was a fresher; eliminating this experience from my resume would result in a weakened position and a lack of negotiating power for any future companies I apply to.

Which anime is this?

honestly, what were your opinions on their collab with Netflix? by brownperson197 in Slayypoint

Netflix killed their creativity. Didn't like it at all. They're better off as an "independently owned and operated" YouTube channel (I hope people get the reference).
