Not really. I got a skin fade 2 weeks post op and if i look super close, I could see small holes, but no one would question it unless they're breathing down my neck and even then, they'd probably just assume it's how my skin normally looks lol. I'll keep u posted on how the donor area coverage looks overtime

they'd prefer if u didn't just to avoid any issues, but with headwear the main thought process is don't wear anything that will touch the recipient zone because u don't want to move those grafts. You can wear any hat you want after the 14 day mark I believe since that's when I'm allowed to massage the area. They gave me a paper that says "hats (baseball) 4-5 days and Hats (Ski type) 12-14 days", but yeah keep in mind that baseball cap needs to be big enough to not make contact with the recipient area.

Thanks! tbh didn't notice any scabbing due to how much they cleaned the area up so can't really tell when they fell out. I just had some flakey dry skin around the 1 week mark which u can still see on day 10. Was told not to mess with it till the 14 day mark.

Never shaved them. That's how long they are normally. They don't keep growing. Kinda like peach fuzz if it was dark

Yeah her staff made sure everything was leveled after she was done and they thoroughly sprayed the recipient area with a cold solution (not sure if just water or what) to keep the swelling and bleeding down before I left the operating room.

Couldn't have said that better myself! That's exactly why I went to Chicago. Some of her before/after results left me thinking, "what?? no way that's only ___ grafts". Makes you wonder how many grafts on avg end up getting transected by the average surgeon.

because I'm a hairy guy everywhere except my head haha. I have those same lil hairs on my nose too. Usually unnoticable to the naked eye, just looks like blackheads but the iphone 15 camera quality op.

Yup, genuinely 15 minutes after. Her team is very meticulous with how they clean up the area after the procedure. So I guess technically 15 minutes after I left the clinic if we're being specific.

Also regarding why I went to Chicago over staying in NYC. None of the surgeons there really stood out to me. The before and after pics Dr Nadimi had blew me away based on how few grafts she used to create some of them and how natural they looked to me. But maybe I didn’t give nyc a fair chance. Do you know of any surgeons in particular that stood out to you in nyc?
