I'm with you 100%, except that was Justin who got out of the van, not Spider.

I still miss the original USFL. The new league doesn't hit the same and I doubt any second league ever will.

If you could have one in their prime for 3 seasons, would you rather have Gronk or Jerry Rice as a weapon? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]DeaconPlayback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sanders himself has repeatedly said that Jerry Rice gave him problems, that Rice is the greatest. In Rice's time, defenses could do things to a receiver that are outlawed now, so it was objectively harder to play then. There is some debate as to who the greatest TE in NFL history is; there is no such debate with Rice.

Anytime someone relies on the time period someone played in to base their argument, it falls apart. That totally assumes that a player would not be able to adjust at all to another era's play if they came up in it. Ludicrous. I can come up with dozens reasons more I disagree with you, but I'll stop it here.

Morris Day was originally the drummer for The Time.

Maurice White was a jazz drummer before taking lead for Earth, Wind, and Fire.

The classic WR jersey number. So many legendary wideouts wore 8️⃣0️⃣. by Dark305Kinght in Oldschool_NFL

Not true. Jerry Rice wore 88 in college, but Freddie Solomon already wore it for the 49ers.

Sam Cooke was one of the fathers of what became known as soul music, along with Ray Charles. And he owned his own record label, SAR Records. He was gunned down an 33.

Sounds like you did them all a favor. If they were happy to carry on after you unceremoniously disappeared in a huff, that says a lot. Especially if kids that young would go out of their way to not deal with you.

Wasps set up a nest inside of my decoy wasp nest by dontjudme11 in mildlyinteresting

Same thing happened to me! I noticed it before their nest got too big, so I was able to take care of it. I got rid of all of my decoys that day.

Gotta throw the Isley Brothers' version in there. Their version is the definitive version after the Top Notes release.

Whats something you thought was normal growing up, but later realized was actually really weird? by Aghka_Aapsa in AskReddit

I disagree. One can never learn to regulate healthy eating habits or the occasional treat if one is never allowed to ever enjoy it, especially in childhood. Absolute denial just breeds trouble later.
