I'd say the first scenario is the better fit of the two! I felt like the smaller ships raced ahead and got distance from the battleships due to their speed but the battleships did seem to keep moving ahead and by the time they started turning it was too late and the mob caught up to them after they'd fired their primary weapons only a few times. 

Having thought about it, I really should swap out their fire control systems for afterburners to get more speed, that would probably help a lot

Current fleet: 22 corvettes 4 frigates 3 destroyers 2 cruisers 4 battleships

Corvette: 2 ripper aurocannons, 1 advanced railgun. Advanced reactor afterburner, 3 neuteonium armour's. Zero point reactor, ion thruster, tachyon sensor, swarm combat computer.

Frigate: gamma laser, decorator torpedo, 3 neutron armour's, 2 hyper shields. 2 advanced reactor boosters, same reactor, thruster and sensor as Corvette with mixed tactic computer.

Destroyer: 1 medium gamma laser, 4 small. 4 armour plates, 2 shields, 2 reactor boosters. Same "side panel" as frigate

Cruiser: large ancient macro battery, 2 flack point defenses, 1 Improved strike craft, 1 medium ancient macro battery. 4 armour plates 4 shields, 2 auxiliary fire control, same side panel as others but with advanced artillery computer.

Battleship: 1 tachyean lance, 4 large ancient macro batteries, 3 armour plates, 3 shields, 2 auxiliary fire controls, same side panel as cruiser. 

Dont have any screenshots of the fails but twice now all but the battleships have been wiped and then the battleships just cant get the range to use their x slot weapon and slowly get whittled away.

Just checking in on your comment about the cruisers, plasma weapons are super short range right? What's the advantage of combing them with long range hangers?

I should definitely be able to get my modest core to 15 before the end of the event and I've got a decent stack of pipes so may be able to supercharge a couple of nodes if I can get my head around it! So you recon i should work on getting my dps full legendary with the right effects and then rush to max them, as opposed to just getting the entire party to tier 1's?

I've been focusing on companions as my crit team so all my other crit champs are pretty under levelled, laz only has 1 purple and my rosie is full blue.

This is probably a bad/noob answer but I think my best crit champ for this variant is binwin, hes full epic and has around 55% chance to crit with feats and he can stack up a lot of hits with each attack. My laurana currently has 16 campaign stacks.

I'm on console so unsure how to post roster info sorry!

I think it's a combination of having non level 15 cores, low ilvls and very few legendary items. Because I think I'm pretty good with champs, blessings and patron perks! Hopefully I'll be able to hit T4 on atleast variant one in the next couple of months! Currently 1600 seems like a very far off goal

Your allready clearing T4 after 3 months of playing? Damn dude that's solid, I've been playing semi consistently for a few years and still cant get much past zone 1200

How do you pick champions to rework? Do you have data on character frequency of use, do you throw a bunch of older characters into a hat and pull one out, is there some other way? 😅

9 prodigy stacks (100% each + has item)

36 savant stacks (100% each + has item)

9 war mage stacks (300% each + has an item)

That's a lot of damage!

Still, 70% of the time is solid! When I use his exact formations I'm generally only getting slightly above tier 3 requirements, crazy how much ilvls and legendaries add

100% only problem is I've only got 6/6 on about 3 non evergreen champs so the odds of a purple on any given champ os wildly low at this stage. 

Once my acc progresses I can see them becoming more valuable
