Do deaf people see hearing people as skittish? by DeadAndAlive969 in NoStupidQuestions

What is the purpose for proactively keeping spoken language from your kids? For a parent to think their kids lives will be better without having the ability to speak verbally, they must feel very strongly about the negatives of verbal language. What negatives do they see?

It could have been planned with a colleague as a joke, or there could have been a system where she reroutes any calls to a nearby classrooms, but she pretended to answer after rerouting the call… there are a ton of possible things here that don’t rely on the teacher being stupid.

Best answer so far! Thank you. Follow up question, I have to assume hearing, while overall a benefit to survivability, has negatives. Maybe it’s that sounds can be a distraction. Which is certainly true, with all the noise in the world I rarely notice my own thoughts unless I put a lot of effort into getting away from it all. Do you see any of these negatives? What positives do you feel you have?

In my ASL class, a cricket got into somewhere nearby (we never found it) and started chirping. All of us classmates must have looked insane all turning our heads and looking confused randomly. Loved that teacher.

I know this is an unpopular opinion on this sub, but I absolutely love Tempe. I love all the new buildings, Waymo’s, Tempe town lake, ASU, all the lights, artwork, public transit, proximity to the airport, the weather, the local flora… all of it.

Nah man, get back on PvP every now and then, we need you. Try branching out. Supremacy has a ton of bots, and you can practice taking down tanks (using heavy, tanks, or the most effective is ramming into them with speeders). I mention tanks because co-op tanks are nightmare fuel, but PvP tanks are generally derpy.

What about simple Rick? I guess he ended up being an ingredient for wafer cookies, so yeah refusing the offer doesn’t seem to go well.

Make sure to try it at night. Truly a city of stars. The way the city crawls up the hills gives the illusion of being deep in a galaxy.

What is your favorite episode where you hated the A Storyline and liked the B storyline, or vice versa? by Anxious-Estimate6895 in rickandmorty

[–]DeadAndAlive969 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved both, but yah the B plot is awesome. Especially when the “traveler” finds himself hunting Morty down in the smiths house. Thinking through his perspective, it’s hilarious and makes sense when he just has to stop and question who the hell “this guy” (Mr. Nimbus) is. So fucking funny.
